Personal Grooming - pubic hair trimming?

oUT OF CURIOSITY, HOW LONG DOES IT ALL TAKE AND IS IT EXPENSIVE?
Sorry for the caps oops.
Do you have dark/coarse/noticeable hair, why go to all that bother? I am so nosey!!! :rotfl:
I have pale skin and fairly dark hair. I wax everything except my fanjina myself, and I pay £20 every 4 weeks to get that done. Body takes about 45 mins to do and fanjina less than 10 mins.I was born too late, into a world that doesn't care
Oh I wish I was a punk rocker with flowers in my hair0 -

You can experiment with scissors and a razor for, um....definition and revealing the extent of ''the situation'' with no expenditure on a trimmer. TBH I will point out this might indicate to a new sexual partner that you are ''playing the field'' enough to pay significant attention, to be seriously trimming, or indicate a vanity many women find more off putting than some hair. In a relationship its not an unusual experience to experiment together as to ''hairstyles'' you both like.
Why on earth might it indicate that?******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -
I'm in my early twenties and admit that I've never really given much thought to pubic hair "maintenance" until a recent conversation with a close female friend (whose a few years older than me) who mentioned that most women are put off by excessive pubic hair (don't ask how we got onto this topic!).
Excessive? If it's a case of lucious locks falling down to your knees and you turn around in the nud with an effect like a shampoo advert...
Perhaps better to find a partner and find their preferences before getting into bodyshaving. Better still not to worry about it.
Well anyhow...
I use Philips QC5170 Hair Clipper on my head and have once used it on my lower parts. It was a bit fiddly but I lost nothing vital in the exercise and left me with a pleasant 11mm of padding.
Argos have several hair clippers which come with free nasal hair trimmers!
I think excessive nasal hair is more likely to cause problems than some pubic hair.

Yes, I didn't word that well, what I meant was that a new partner might infer that, or, as I went on to say, although similarly poorly phrased, assume another alternative. I didn't claim either would be a correct deduction!0 -

My question still stands, though - why would a new partner infer that, just because my pubic hair is trimmed?******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0 -
Is it sore getting your foof waxed? I tried it myself but didn't warm the strips enough before applying so the end result was me howling and only 2 pubes gone!
I stick with veet, but you really have to go over it with a razor too as the little plastic thing they provide is rubbish I think, and don't leave it on too long. Im forever doing that and it makes it nippy to pee for a bit!
I personally don't like pubes, so I get rid of em, and I imagine it's a lot more sanitary aswell (during periods, sweating in the summer etc etc) plus you may be at risk of snatchworms if you don't at least trim
As for guys, trimming is fine, or not, it really depends on how bad it grows! Kinda off putting if it's longer than the main attraction :rotfl:0 -

Sanitary? That's what bathing was invented to deal with and as for sweating in the summer, that is precisely why we evolved with coarse hair in the downstairs department. I feel much less comfortable in the hot weather once I've had a tidy-up until I gt used to it. And please, put me out of my misery: what in Dickens' name are snatchworms? Or is this a new word for something I might be familiar with to do with what goes on in the bathroom? Or rather, wouldn't if one was a bit more vigilant and dainty?0 -

Erm, you could always try the gillete razor with integrated trimmer - the one on the ad where the ladies walk past the bushes and they become neat, lol. About £10 in superdrug/boots/supermarket.
It is for ladies but does a good job at just a trim - and is quick and no nicks...lol the reason i say this is because i am big and preg now i can't see down there to shave as i usually would, so have resulted in using this to keep a nice low trim till after baby comes, plus i can do it without needing to see, whereas i'd prob cut myself sensless if i tried to use a razor without looking, lol. Sorry if TMI - but you did ask
Much cheaper than buying a new trimmer - and more hygenic/convenient than using your hair clippers.
My hubbie just trims and neatens up with clippers though - just as otherwise he gets hot and sweaty.....ewwwww, lol his choice though, i was never that bothered by his hair down there (but it wasn't a jungle either).Mummy of 3 lovely munchkins :smileyhea0
