Personal Grooming - pubic hair trimming?

Hi,

This is a bit of an embarrassing topic but here goes anyway.

I'm in my early twenties and admit that I've never really given much thought to pubic hair "maintenance" until a recent conversation with a close female friend (whose a few years older than me) who mentioned that most women are put off buy excessive pubic hair (don't ask how we got onto this topic!).

This got me thinking about my... ehm... personal area... I don't think it's excessive but I think it could do with trimming (not into shaving it and going completely bare!).

My question really is can some one please recommend a good electric trimmer for men for use around the genitals?... I tried looking on the net but found mainly ones for women. I'm not looking for a cheap one, but one that will do the job properly and safely!

This is a serious question so your help would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

My hubby has something made by Remmington. Not really sure what its called but it looks very similar to a pair of hair clippers only smaller. He uses this to just give himself a trim.

Maybe by looking at Remmington this will give you a better chance of finding what you're after.

    Maybe this website will help.

It's bad enough when DH trims his beard and moustache, leaves him all scratchy when he kisses me. Leave well alone is my advice! although I'm not 'most women', obviously, and am unable to make comparisons.

Women like different things just as men do. You can experiment with scissors and a razor for, um....definition and revealing the extent of ''the situation'' with no expenditure on a trimmer. TBH I will point out this might indicate to a new sexual partner that you are ''playing the field'' enough to pay significant attention, to be seriously trimming, or indicate a vanity many women find more off putting than some hair. In a relationship its not an unusual experience to experiment together as to ''hairstyles'' you both like.

I've never been bothered about my partner's level of pubic topiary, quite frankly I have more important things to pay attention to than whether he's trimmed on not. ;) Obviously YMMV, as different people like different things.

Itchy regrowth is an issue too. There's nothing quite so off-putting as someone having a good old claw at their privates. (DH assures me the regrowth was hell, and he had his shaved for a medical procedure.)

Keiran_uk, . A beard trimmer is what you're looking for as opposed to a shaver. Also makes things look bigger if u see what I mean :rotfl:

My dh uses the beard trimmer bit on his electric shaver, don't know about making it look bigger though! :rotfl:

Trimming scissors? Can be picked up from Boots, thats what my OH does and looks so much better, personally i can't stand men that have a bush down there, makes me feel ill.
I like all mine off, and i like my OH to be at least trimmed.

Yeah, but it's just that, an illusion...Like Wonderbras!

I don't really care how much hair he's got there, he's a guy, he's meant to have hair. I personally prefer to go bare, but that's a choice I made as at TOTM it's a bit unhygienic....and I'd be washing a million times a day. No complaints from OH, but I'm moving from razor to wax....easier

  • I also thought that a beard trimmer at the end of a shaver would do the trick, but just wondered if there was something available specifically for tidying the nether regions on blokes?

As for using a trimming scissors... ehm bringing a pair of scissors any where near my dangly bits scares me silly!!
