Glad to hear it went smoothly!Absinthe_Fairy wrote: »Thanks for the heads-up - I kept an eye out but luckily it didn't happen, balance was showing £100 this morning, the same as it was yesterday.0 -
Does anyone know if I just leave a £1000 in the Halifax Reward account every month whether you still get the fiver? Or do they have to see £1000 credited each month, whether it be whole £1000 of bits adding up to the latter? If I've help in anyway, please remember to thank me :-)0

You need to credit a total of £1,000 in the month. Plus why leave £1,000 sitting in an account where it earns no interest?0

To re-emphasise what apt wrote, leaving £1000 in the Halifax Reward current account gains you nothing, zilch, zero .... unless all of it is received in the same month, in which case you gain £5 once only.Does anyone know if I just leave a £1000 in the Halifax Reward account every month whether you still get the fiver? To get regular fivers, yes you need to credit £1000 every month.
Have you read the T&C available on the Halifax website?0 -

Sorry for asking the question. If I've help in anyway, please remember to thank me :-)0 -
Once a month, go in your branch, ask to draw out £1000 in cash, and when you receive it, say you want to deposit it again. (should be interesting ...) :rotfl:
That ought to satisfy the T&C.
Alternatively, if you have 2 online accounts (and if you haven't you can easily open a websaver online) then you can move £1000 out of the account and back in again from the comfort of your own home.
