Well some good news, I spoke to my Rep who had C10 books on her account as being ordered by Management, Avon called her to find out why she hadn't placed a C9 order and she asked them to order those for her.

Still not sure about the other accounts where it says Management has requested books, if that is Avon or ASM, as I know she has done this in the past.

Some good news then A; still waiting on dsm info for you, I'd suggest you email sales leader team they should be able to tell you I think.

Thanks Lozza. I finally had a reply from my SL saying it was not on and she would complain to DSM if I gave her details, but I think I need to check the other accounts first before I say it was definitely her this time, although I KNOW she has done it in the past.

And the only way I can get the reps removed from my account is for them to contact Avon directly and tell they resigned. Easier said than done when one never replies to me!

Just do your best, thats all you can do - that way you'll have a clear conscience. At least your sl is supporting you :)

    hi Ladies,

I have read a few posts about selling avon stuff at boots slaes. I was thinking about buying some clearance stuff and selling them there. My dilemma is I read in the HT that the clearance items are not for sale to customers- does this mean I cant sell them there? Any of you ladies sold at a car boots before? I hope I can recruit there as well have signed up to be SL although it's my 2nd campaign. I have not done very well. And any tips would be really appreciated. Thanks everyone!:)

I did some car boots last year, and will be starting again later this month - what I'd say is have a variety of items for sale, everyday stuff as well as some more expensive bits (but nothing to pricey) say like a couple of bottles of popular perfume. I've bought stuff from clearance to see at car boots - so long as you don't return it all then you're ok in my opinion, as its your property to do with as you wish, and you aren't selling it in the usual way (via a brochure). Take plenty of carrier bags, and put a business card/leaflet in EVERY bag, you never know who they might pass it to. And have some out on display to. I'd suggest taking some non-avon stuff to sell as well, helps to get more people to come to your stall, and means you're more likely to make a profit to.

That sounds like a good idea. I've had a ton of books to sell at a car boot, but never got round to it because I wanted something else to sell to draw people to the stall, so I might buy some clearance things with my next order :)
Moving onto a better place...Ciao

Sometimes as well items that are on offer at 99p in the brochures are good to sell (at a £1 to keep giving change easier), like shower gels, shampoo/conditioners etc, as you have to think what price you'd be able to sell HT clearance products at to make it worthwhile. Order as much stuff as you can afford - we paid for it with our earnings so we wouldn't have to send anything back (I hate returning items if I can help it), and as big a variety as you can manage.

Even if you're only a rep, doing a carboot can be a good way to get new customers, make some leaflets up to put in your bags, you never know who they might pass it to. I've put the following on mine:
Need a Rep to Order from?
Then contact me, and I can arrange for a brochure to be delivered to you – or maybe a friend needs an AVON Representative to order from? Myself and my team cover a wide area – so I can easily find a Rep who can help!

Plus find me on Facebook –
    AVON in and around Swadlincote
    - for fantastic offers, and reviews of new products, before they are released!
    Become an AVON Representative and
Earn up to 25% of your sales.
    Choose your own hours.
Sell just to friends & family if you want, and buy yourself products at a discount saving you money!
I offer full training and on-going support and advice to all Representatives in my team.
Best of all you don’t have to pay anything up-front, you get brochures etc provided to start you earning!
Why not pass this leaflet to someone you know who would like to earn some extra money?

That way its covering everything lol! If I get any customers too far away from myself, then I hopefully I might have a rep near them, if not I can ask on flissys if another sales leader has a rep nearby. If you got a customer to far from yourself, then perhaps they might do postal ordering or you could pass the details onto the area manager, or perhaps someone on here could be local to them!

ooo has anyone had the new calling cards???

They not yellow with black writing anymore... nope they are baby pink with cerise writing on the front and blank white on the back (and much more flimsy!)

Not sure im a fan.. as they dont catch your attention as much... to me the yellow card always looked like a parcel left card so people where more likely to read them.... and if these land face down they will just look like junk mail....

Didn't know they were changing the calling cards. Don't fancy the idea of baby pink calling cards either - I mean come on, any male reps are going to feel a bit daft carrying them around!

Thanks for your comments, girls, sorry to rant last night. I have a good customer in the area doing a bit of snooping for me as she has other friends in the surrounding roads.

On the plus side, I have a referral for a new customer in a neighbouring road, one of my regulars has told me when her avon loving GD is over (and I have promised she will have a book then), I have a verbal confirmation of another Fergie sale and I have a shop - run by lovely ladies with female customers.

Things are on the up :j
