    Hi all,

Have had a couple of orders from the flyer and thought I'd be organised and put the in the system early (only at start of C9). Checked the subtotal and no commision!! Is that right?

What is this flyer?? Have I missed something? :o

    ?

    snipped

the flyer is the Woman's Secret, it is a flyer to go with C9 books, or as the aim really is, to find new customer's with, to entice them to ask for a full size book, or to give to customers who don't order very regularly to entice them.

You probably didn't get any inaminute as they set them out with deliveries for c7 orders and you didn't order then. Don't worry, I don't give them out to customers as it justsl confuses things.

Here are some links so you can send the brochures to people electronically if anyone wants them...

    Campaign 9 Brochure

    Campaign 10 brochure

Could save a couple of quid in petrol and books lol!

Thanks, Mel, that's great. Could be really useful for me. Still catching up so sorry if this has already been asked/answered - where do you get these links from ongoing?

Have appointment tomorrow evening to sign up the betterware rep! Yipeeeeeeeeeeee. Betterware are every 6 weeks, avon every 3 and less bulk to carry around on delivery. Shes really really keen.
Did one tonight to catch C9 and hopefully another two (fri and mon) to start of C10 with betterware rep. Not a bad start to the c10.

c9 sales up to £650+ now. Still books to pick up tomorrow.

Good luck; have done Avon and Betterware together too. (Actually made more doing Betterware but Avon much more 'fun'!) You're right in that Betterware brochures tend to last for 6 weeks but if your newbie works the same system as I did then they will be out getting/delivering orders on a weekly basis so much more work involved than Avon.

pinkpig08 - this is the common speil off asms and some sls... end of the day they are NOT the taxman so have no right to tell you that really. If you read your paperwork you will see you are SUPPOSED to register, afterall you are running a business... you are buying goods and selling them on therefore you are running a business so should register as self employed. So to be legal and above board you SHOULD register. Also if she signs up your OH he will need to register self employed too :) Oh and she is keen cos it gives her another sign up on her books! meets her targets then!

Just to add, that unless you have other income, I was told by HMIR that they didn't want to hear from me until my annual income approached £2,500 (basically they don't want to be bothered with you).

Also, as you say, some ASMs tend to put their goals first rather than their reps. If you do sign up your OH though it does give you the advantage of being able to order two of the HT offers restricted '1 to each rep'. Whether that's worth the extra hassle (and cost of joining) though is personal choice.

Well I did a T1 this morning, and the betterware lady has been seen. Just a coincidence that the asm was with me. To be honest, she has signed up but i get the distinct feeling that when she delivers betterware, she will be returning my books back. She said that she is concerned about the available 'ongoing training and support' offered by avon, asm and myself.

Bettereware dont even speak to her anymore. What can I say to that?
I explained that she will be invited to regular meetings where training will be offered, regular calls and texts from both myself and asm (once a camp as min) and if she doesnt want to talk to us, or attend meetings thats fine, but they highlight new products and cross selling etc.

Hmmmmmmmm. Me thinks that she is happy walking the streets for no money. She has received only 2 orders from my village in total. I get 25-30 every 3 weeks. Betterware is every 6 weeks. To me its a no brainer and asm mentioned that she has converted 3 betterware reps in the area to Avon only. As the return is higher. How often do you replace your mop and bucket?

I just dont know what is with some people.

Each to their own, LC, but agree with aureol (and as already said). IF your newbie works to the same system as I did then she stands to earn much more on B than A. You're asked to deliver 300 brochures min a week so in the life of the brochure you'll probably have an area of 1,200-1,800 houses to cover. There are no costs to reps as everything is provided and they work a nice 're-order system' whereby you notify your customers in advance of when you'll be delivering (note attached to a brochure) and if they'd like to order anything else then you'll be pleased to take the order when you deliver. In my experience about a third of deliveries result in re-orders so that's very easy money. You also have the contingent of people, who 'love Betterware' (believe it or not) and they will order something every week!

Reverting to Avon meetings, have also been invited to some but to date never bothered (don't really have that much spare time at the mo) - may do at some point but actually prefer to just 'do my own thing'. As one of my customers said last night when I rang to suggest (and they agreed) they take up an offer of 4 products for £10 rather than 1 product for £2.50 they've not met an Avon lady like me..... (Am assuming that was a compliment.... :rotfl:)

  • Hi everyone. Just preparing my books for the C9 camp, order for C8 arriving Monday. One of the trickiest things I am finding with Avon (I am a beginner) is the planning side of things. I am trying to decide when the best time to deliver books would be, but this next camp is a bit of a headache. C9 delivery will be BH Monday therefore I should be making deliveries to customers that week, but I think a lot of people will be on holiday that week, and I am on annual leave from work and I'm not quite sure what our own plans are. I am thinking of printing a note to put with my books stating that due to holidays deliveries will be w/c 1 June. I would be grateful for your input all you experienced Avoners.

Having not heard anything from the ASM again! And having no luck with Avon direct, I don't think he could even understand what I was saying. I took matters into my own hands and called on the rep who was doing the 'unmanned' streets. She's told me exactly what she's doing, and what she can remember from the other reps in the area. Seemingly they've been having problems with the ASM for years and the reps who've been doing it for 4/5/6 years are used to her sending people into their areas, and aren't particularly fazed by it. She said one woman had 4 separate newbie reps within a few months of each other, who all said the ASM had told them the area was rep-less.

So now I have 5 or 6 streets that I can try without bumping into other reps. But only 10 days left of C9, so it's cutting it fine.
Moving onto a better place...Ciao

Have you not received your total limit of territory then fiver? (sorry if I've missed it!) I know for a fact that no-one does my street, and I'd love to do it but the ASM said the only way would be to sign DH up, which we don't want to do. But she said I've already got my limit - 100 houses I think.

MC - during the HMIR workshop I attended on becoming Self Employed, they stated that regardless of level of income from SE, you must register and complete SA each year, even if you make a loss, they still want to know.
