  • Surely there must be a method for recourse against Cartel.
If so many hundred people complained directly and couldn't get their money back, if MSE put forward another hundred complaints about people who couldn't get their money back, if David Jack put forward 4000 complaints from people who couldn't get their money back then how can the MoJ only suspend a company but willingly let the same people continue to trade under any other name or guise with any permissions or authorisations when so much consumer money has been lost, not accounted for and not even apologised over.
If the MoJ had taken action when urged to then some of this money may have been recovered on top of possibly several millions not taken from new clients.
If Cartel cannot be held legally responsible for the loss and (possible) theft of this money then surely the MoJ must be accountable for their failures and delays and continued authorisations of not just this company but any company that they have failed to move against that has presented considerable complaints against them and I am sure that there are quite a few of them.

I think that this needs to have more affirmative action taken, I know David Jack was originally hoping to have the backing of the Lib Dems to help in this campaign and its a shame we didn't get that boost but I definately think that MPs need to be contact regarding this now. There cannot be a single constituency within the UK that doesn't have at least 1 victim of Cartel if not other CMCs. If we can get a few on board to lobby the MoJ for tougher action or to even take action against these companies directly then things may just gain more impetus.

I think it is time that every person, victim or reader on this thread writes to their MP, demands actions, points them to scam.com and MSE thread and every other thread regarding Cartel and other CMCs and hopefully we can start moving in the right direction towards justice.

    Exactly.

Unlike financial services where there is a safety net in the FSCS and a requirement for firms to hold assets (which in itself doesnt stop failures but it makes them less likely), the claims industry has nothing to protect the consumers apart from a regulator that was slow to show its teeth (although it is making up for it now).
I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.

According to scam it said on money box that Grass Roots is also being investigated. Have not heard it myself but certainly needs to be.

And the court case against David Jack has been discontinued due to commercial interests.

The High Court action between CARTEL CLIENT REVIEW LIMITED (2) CARL WRIGHT (3) BURLEYS SOLICITORS V MR DAVID JACK has been discontinued by agreement of all parties on the grounds of commercial interests. There has been no financial settlement between any of the parties and the said discontinuance brings to an end this particular action with no judgement for or against any party.”

    From scam.

    From scam.com

"It Pays to Complain" Granada, will apparently be showing an article about Cartel tonight which may include Carl Wright and David Jack. In some regions this programme is at 7pm.

You will be able to view it here afterwards.
