0161 836 4325 and it said number changed to 0845 0711500
Which if you google comes up as
Universal Medical Services Limited Building 5, Universal Square, Devonshire Street,Tel: 0845 0711500Manchester, M12 6JH - must have been an old number for this as it is also listed for Cartel now.0 -
They are not taking incoming calls and have stopped taking new cases.
There is word from the scam site that Cartel will also make an announcement- but the timescale given has passed.
There will be a specific time for the press release at MJ. Press will have it already but can't release the info until the specific time. Please ignore those people who post on this forum who deliberately try to misinform you. Don't be bullied by them, don't be blamed by them. You know who I mean.

This is Money article.
http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/credit-and-loans/article.html?in_article_id=501209&in_page_id=9#ixzz0iOSfjhOn..........................."On March 10, the Solicitors' Regulation Authority closed down Cartel's legal firm, Consumer Credit Litigation Solicitors (CCLS). Meanwhile, the Ministry of Justice is investigating Cartel.Carl Wright, chief executive of Cartel Client Review, says: 'Cartel is currently reviewing the outcome of discussions which took place on Monday, March 15, with the Ministry of Justice.'The £100 m debt write-off industry has attracted around 200,000 customers, lured by the promise that their borrowing could be classed as 'unenforceable'. An unenforceable debt cannot be collected. This is usually because a county court judge has ruled the original contract was drawn up incorrectly. But some firms have been accused of sucking consumers in by making false claims about the likelihood of getting a debt rendered unenforceable. To find out if debts really can be written off visit www.thisismoney.co.uk/escapeNow the industry regulator at the Ministry of Justice is drawing up plans to force firms to ringfencedeposits and fees paid by consumers so that they can be refunded if a case is not investigated. And it wants the companies to abide by tough Advertising Standards Agency rules that mean if a firm says it has won 'many' or even 'some' cases then it must produce evidence to back this up.
Kevin Rousell, head of claims management regulation at the Ministry of Justice, says: 'We have heard allegations that these are advance fee scams. We want to make it clear that companies have to be transparent, and if a customer's claim has not been dealt with in a reasonable time, or cannot be progressed, then customers are entitled to their money back......"Bold- me

"The controversial claims management sector looks to be further unravelling as one of the most prominent firms, Cartel Client Review, has reportedly closed for new business. Following the news last week that a law firm working for the claims handler was shut down by the legal watchdog, Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), it has now emerged that Cartel has stopped taking new cases. Some Cartel agents are even going as far to say it has closed down for good, although this has not been confirmed. This is just the latest twist in the tale for the Manchester-based firm, which is currently under investigation by the Ministry of Justice after scores of consumers complained about its business conduct............."Please ignore those people who post on this forum who deliberately try to misinform you. I am making ex clients of Cartel Client Review and folk considering using a claims management firm aware of the following site
http://www.scam.com/showthread.php?t=122675&page=24
Please note that ex/ current representatives (agents) of Cartel are posting there, as are other folk. You need to bear that in mind when going there.
This is being posted solely so that you have access to more information and hopefully, that information might enable you to recoup fees or partially retrieve the situation you are in. I don't know that this will be of help to you, you need to make your own mind up on that one. However, as with everything, please tread warily and please, please don't part with any money!!!!!!!. Hopefully it will stop others using a claims management firm. Please note that I am not saying that they are all dishonest, but a lot of them don't deliver and when they do, its generally something that you can do quite easily for yourself, for £0.
Anyone considering using a claims "management" company should read the thread on scam.com and think- long and hard.
It illustrates how ruthless individuals seek to make money from peoples misery, raise false hopes, increase debt in some instances and in most cases, a failure to deliver. Remember you don't need to give up your hard earned money. And we are talking £millions made from poor folk.
Everyone has a choice.

I would like to thank Orc for mentioning the scam.com site "Why was the Cartel thread deleted"
This post is not designed as an advert for any service offered from anyone and shouldn't be taken as such. It is purely to make people aware that scam.com has constantly been posting information about CCR while other sites have been forced to close or remove mention of CCR. If you want any information about CCR then scam.com will most likely have the information listed for you.
This site has been running a constant thread regarding Cartel for a long time, as the title may suggest Carl Wright of Cartel closed down the first thread which was over 1000 posts long and held alot of information. Carl Wright of Cartel has effectivelly closed down any internet forum thread that has published ANY negative press against him and this includes a previous thread run by MSE.
Since then another thread has been started on scam.com (with over 1200+ posts) and covers alot of the previous information along with so much more that has been discovered since incluing original documents of company make up, shareholdings, new companies opened and authority permissions etc.
There has also been quite a discussion about how to get a refund back from Credit Cards under Section 75, the successes and failures that people are getting, how they are trying to get around it, the excuses from CC companies and how to deal with them, or just understand them.
The thread is a loooong read but absolutely vital if you want to understand the full story. I would advise anyone who has a couple of hours to spare to read it
There has been alot of media coverage recently regarding Cartel and CCLS but I doubt this coverage would have been possible without the constant campaigning of the members of scam.com. With the help of one ex political candidate (David Jack) there is a database of over 4000 Cartel clients that have put their own CCR experiences forward. I have no idea where abouts on the thread it is but there is a sign up button that will allow other CCR victims to express their experiences too. (around page 7-10 is my guess)
With luck, with the help from MSE, Legal Beagles, CAG and all the other media outlets we can close CCR and any other company that this man plans to create and stop him from taking clients money again in the future.
To any victim of CCR I wish you good luck with obtaining refunds.0 -

I do feel a little (not much) sympathy for some of the agents. I believe many of them signed up and took fees from friends, family and neighbours on the promise of getting debts written off. I imagine many are now nervous about even meeting these people again and afraid to answer when the doorbell rings.
Sympathy!...You're having a laugh...were they all gullible?..no just damned greedy...particularly mortgage advisors and ifa's... they knew better..lowlifes the lot of them........0
