who gave you a funny looka bout the bin? I presumed that ment you had someone to spend money on...

I got a funny look about the bin as I'd have happily left it at least another week to get maximum useage out of the binliner, so it would be full when put out, even though this bin liner had already been in the bin & had rubbish put in it for 2 weeks.

For those continuing to wonder with respect to my gender, I think the above has just let the cat out of the bag!:D

I've been a bit mean with the money spending since january tbh lir. However with all the birthdays coming up (family & friends) + mothers day & a couple of cultural purchases I'm gonna cause a little inflation spike all on my own. That said, other than fuel & groceries, there is so little out there that I need.

I have had debates with friends about stuff I want, & I've become very much a person thinking about do I want it or do I need it when I am considering a purchase.

So I've cash to spend, no debt, but little tempting me to spend it on!

I think I'll start a pot for cash for a holiday, like the london trip I keep thinking about.:)

I am, I'm bl**ding livid. I feel helpless about it all too.

Actually, I think that this is the best answer I've seen.

People are angry about the downturn/loss of jobs/fall of income/closure of business' etc.

But what are we able to do about it? We don't hold the power to fix it.

DH was furious this morning when the endowment policy forecasts came through the letterbox and it looks as if we will have a £12,000 shortfall on the mortgage. Policies finish in 2011 and 2013.

He was fuming that instead of the sum promised plus "extra" we would get so much less.

He did calm down when I reminded him we had been overpaying the interest only mortgage for over ten years and we were actually now mortgage free.

    He still feels cheated though!

Not necessarily LJ. I can assure you I am 100% female. But I often leave emptying the bin until its full. But then maybe I'm just lazy.:o Which is a 100% non gender-specific characteristic!

Just shows you can't rely on stereotypes.:)
SMILE....they will wonder what you are up to...........;)
