Had my cheque from RM yesterday, sent a Pirates of caribbean dvd and the free jack sparrow coin from play to someone. "Worth" over £20 in total according to play. Only got cheque from RM for £10. Is it worth complaining?0

They would only be working on what info you supplied them, did you claim £20 and if so did you send proof of that value? It is mor eusual with ebay claims to send the ebay invoice and RM refund on that value.

I sent proof of value of what they were worth and what i sold them for, obviously i'm more out of pocket as a result. The dvd cost almost 15 and the coin although free was worth 5, they sold on ebay for 13 but obvioulsy i have had to refund that to the buyer.0

There are two claims on the form, one is actual loss, ie the amount you had to refund the buyer and that is almost certainly what they have refunded. It is also possible to claim a consequential loss and that is where you can prove you actually lost more than the stated value of the item, but I can't see a claim like that suceeding where an item was sold on ebay.
You lost the money you refunded, therefore RM correctly refunded that.
