They work fine for me. I don't however use the special jugs, I just put all the milk in to a square glass fridge jug with plastic lid that fits in the door (luminarc make them). They might be more sucessful in appealing to people if they encouraged them to find their own prefered container to put the milk in rather than promoting just the plastic jugs.

When I first saw them I couldn't believe that you would be able to get a bag of milk home without it bursting. But....... then they were on offer for 2 bags plus the jug at £1, so I thought I'd have a go, and now I wouldn't use anything else. I have never had a problem with them. The bag fits in and seals nicely. I buy them when there is an offer and freeze them. I'm totally converted.

I don't like freezing milk, but liked the bags and Jug-its.
My Jug-its are now redundant until the bags go back on offer at 50p or 2 for £1 again - then I'll start buying, but not as long as 4 pints can be had for £1 or less.

I've had one of these for a while (from Milk&More doorstep delivery) and have had problems with it not piercing the bag and/or milk spurting everywhere. I think I've found a solution:

The point of the tube that pieces the bag had been very slightly bent/lost it's point. I put the bag in, clip the bag as normal and then lift the lid over so that the point just rests on the bag in the right place. I then give it a helping hand by piercing the bag with a tiny hole in the right place using a small pointed kitchen knife. I can then push the top right in easily without any spillage.

Noticed yesterday in Sainsbury's that the bags of milk are back to 2 for £1.

Get my Jug-it out of retirement for a few weeks at least!!

I sent feedback regarding my problems on the Jugit website and as a result was sent two spare spouts. I've now got well practised at putting the bags in and piercing them and manage to get no spills without having to pre-pierce the bag.

I don't know why they are not supplied with two spouts so you don't have to immediately wash the spout etc. when a bag runs out halfway through pouring the milk on the breakfast cereal!

Checked on the Jugit website and it says you can freeze the bags.

Can I freeze the milk bag?

Yes you can, it will react the same as if you were freezing milk in a plastic bottle, just take care when defrosting just like you do now.

    Has anyone tried?

Yes it was fine. I found that when I put it in a bowl of water to defrost it was quicker than defrosting a plastic bottle.

I've had the bag split twice now in the freezer and not realised until the milk started to thaw and leaked all over my worktop
I've got two of the juggits and think there's more faffing about trying not to spill the ruddy milk when you pour it, than they are worth. In the end I washed out an empty plastic milk bottle and poured the bags of milk into that.
I now use the juggits to store any home made soup in the fridge!
My husband says he will leave me if I don't stop shopping......... God I will miss that man.
