miss sold a product

Options
Hello there,

I recently purchased a product from iphoneunlockuk.com to get my iPhone 3gs unlocked. Now when I purchased this product there website guarenteed they could unlock my phone so I paid the £38.99 now when I gained access to there site with information how to unlock it I found they had taken the software of the site due to technical problems and I'd no longer be able to unlock it. . So I Wasted my money i've emailed them several times asking for my money back but there choosing to ignore me.

Is there any letter template I can send demanding my money back?

Thanks
Simon

How did you pay? If you used paypal just start a charge back. You could call them?

    As Makeandsave says... ring them.

Their phone number is at the top of their website.

Nice idea but I spent from 10 o'clock till around 3 trying that, if it wasn't engaged when it did ring it just rang and rang till it cuts off. I've expressed my problems to the managing director Jody and asked for a refund but she has decided to ignore that email although she responded to others

unlocking is free, and quite easy if you have a little technical knowledge. Google a program called "Black Rain".

Hi thanks for advice but blackrain wouldn't work with my iPhone due to the firmware. O2 unlocked it for me free of charge so that's why I'm so concerned about getting my money back, as well as the company taking the pi**

Sorry but a read it as the OP's posting as him paying for a service that has not delivered and now rightly so wanting a refund....here have my glasses

Can you not ring your bank and request a 'charge back' l think you may need for 14 dys to pass. Also send them a Recorded Delivery letter requesting money along with a gentle note to say that you will make enquires with their local trading standards to see if they have had any previous complaints regarding the company.

you were not mis sold a product. That term is very overused on these forums

You just want to refund surely if the product wasn't available.

Thanks for help, I will try with my bank first and see what they say! The only reason I said about being miss sold the product was that there website was clearly saying they could unlock my phone and as far as I have found this is the only company that can offer this with my particular handset. To then find once I'd paid £38.99 to gain access to there software it wasn't available. . They were quick enough to take my money but didn't advertise they couldn't unlock it now? ?
