They won't use the tariff that applied on the day I sign up then?

The rate charged on that tariff will come down on 1/4. But that is only 10 days away, it takes weeks to switch-you can't be billed for any usage before your switch date!
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

The rates charged on the Online Energy Saver 9 Duel Fuel tariff will remain unchanged. They will not be reduced on 1st April.

That's what I suspected. Might be better waiting a couple of weeks then and seeing what's on offer then?

    Hi acc

If you are currently on one of our Online Energy tariffs then the gas price decrease will not affect you. This also goes for customers who are currently being billed on a fixed contract tariff.

The recent OLE8 tariff had a large reduction in the gas prices anyway so you may find that you are still benefiting from better rates.

Let me know if you have any questions and I'll try my best to answer these for you.

    Kind Regards

    Colin @ ScottishPower
It is bad if you arenot reducing your price for existing customers. You and the other gas companies have profited massively from huge margings it is not right you failed to pass on reductions in the price you pay. Anyway I will be leaving you as soon as I can and I will remember your profiteering.

You're already getting a much cheaper rate if you're on an Online tariff. If you're on a Fixed Price tariff, it's just part and parcel of what you signed up for (you would be pleased if the rates were going up not down in any case). If you're on Standard tariff, you'll benefit. I don't see what the problem is.

I expect the best deal for loyalty, not a better deal.

    LOL :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Let us know how you get on with that wont you!

    Loyalty! PMSL!

Nobody gives squat for loyalty these days, especially not energy companies "Loyal" customers are just seen as cash cows.
    Missing Tesco R&R since Feb '07 :A & now a "Tesco veteran" apparently! ;)

Not cheaper, just marginally less extortionate. If rates were going up I would be caling the police or something like that, not that they would do anything. I will look at getting a different form of heating installed. The problem is a price fixing cartel. April first is appropiate because you treat your customers like fools.

    Hi WTTM

I will pass on your comments to our pricing department who will hopefully take action on this. I fully agree that customers like yourself should be rewarded for your loyalty.

    Kind Regards
