Tete, I agree - your red lippy suits you! I think it looks great on some people - I always look a bit vampy and OTT with lipstick on as I'm quite dark naturally.
Would love a really fresh look for summer - I'm relying on Cinny for inspiration...
Have fun at the dance class Birdie - sounds fun but hard! I'm totally lacking in coordination too so I'd be all flailing arms and facing the wrong direction!LBM Sep 2008 debt: £27,927.04start weight: 140.2, week 2: 1380 -
Ah OK, thanks for all the encouragement girls, I always feel a bit like Rosie Webster because my lips are quite full naturally, but will go with it. When I'm old I shall wear purple and all that! Cinny I meant to ask, the red lipbalm you said you used for your 40s look - what is it? That's what I'm after, a red sort of translucent stain...Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

It was from an ELF palette I got ages ago. I *think* it's from the custom lips range but I'm not 100% sure. If you're after a stain Bourjois do 'rouge hi.tech' which is pretty good, lasts most of the day and there's a nice range of shades.
Poddle - Have you seen MACs Pret-a-Papier range? I think that's nice and fresh for summer, with lots of nudes and muted dusky kind of colours. It all depends on your skin type ect but I've been sticking to nude eyeshadow (reason why I got MACs naked lunch! makes you eyes look majorly more awake in a second) really sharp, clean cut, winged 50s style eyeliner. A dusky pink blush on my cheekbones then highlighting the heck out of everywhere else (apples of my cheeks, cupids bow, nose ect!) then a peachy kind of lipstick. Which is about as clean cut and fresh as I can get it for myself!
Okayy, spent £55.47 this morning. Which was a mix of paying for dinner, putting petrol into Ol'Greg and going to the wholesalers. Got everything I wanted though; hair dye, new brushes, sectioning clips and some China Glazes.
My Sister took my old iPod to CEX for me, they offered me £30 for it which is pretty good - way more than what I could get from Amazon/Ebay. They're testing it today so I'll have the pennies tomorrow.
Other than that, not much to report! Took my library book back, and did some research for voting tomorrow. Had been thrown a bit from the party I support but cleared it all but now!0 -
Thanks petal, i'll have a look at the Bourjois one. You always sound so as though you know what you're doing with your make-up - it'd never occur to me to highlight my cupid's bow!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0

I never highlight my cupid's bow but now that I think about it when I had my make-up lesson a couple of years back the lady did it then and showed me how to do it, which I promptly forgot all about!
I tried curling my hair with my tongs last night and it was a disaster! So I got out my hot rollers and curled it because I felt like it but decided that my hair is just far too long (it's kind of boob length now!) so I think I'll be getting it cut next week! Just a few inches but it should make a difference!
I watched a video on YouTube last night where this guy wove a ribbon through a plait and then pinned it up in a kind of bun and tied the ends of the ribbon together in a big bow, it looked lovely! Going to get my friend round and make her do that with my hair!
Oooh and I'm having a girly sleepover next Saturday for my birthday so we're all going to have face masks and paint our nails and play with our hair whilst we watch girly movies and drink sparkly pink wine! I can't wait!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Ooh, sounds fun Birdie!!
The hairstyle with the ribbon sounds really cute too!
I've decided to take a break from MSE. Until the end of the month or so. I know I've said it before but I'm fo'serious this timeI'm just spending too much time on here and saving isn't really the top of my list anymore, so I feel a little fake. I'll still be on my blog/twitter if anyone wants me.
Try not to miss me too much& have a fab birthday Birdie!!
