That's a really cute hairstyle! I bet you'd be able to do it quite easily with straighteners too.
I think remember you saying you had problems with your hair going frizzy at the beach? (was either ages ago on Dinahs thread or on your wedding one!) I've been catching up on some blogs this morning and I thought this might be useful.0 -
Ooooh fab! I'll have to go to Boots at the weekend and have a look for both products, thanks! I must be the only person who can't curl with straighteners, I understand the theory but it just goes wrong every time I try!
I had a smoothing treatment at the hairdressers in February as they had a special deal on and after they'd done it I couldn't really tell the difference when they were drying it and going on about how good my hair looked (and had a little sulk because I'd felt conned!) but I really noticed the difference once I got home and washed my hair the next next day, and now it's worn off (it lasted about 6 weeks) I want to have it done again because my hair is totally unruly now! I'll have to find out how much it is because I really need my hair taming again!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
Ooo, smoothing treament sounds schmancy! I could do with something like that, my head is like a little frizz city in Summer. But then abit of frizz helps when I'm going for the crazy Juno Temple look, so I might miss it!
You can't get Tigi products in Boots though, I don't think! I did a quick google search and it's about £5.50 to buy online, if I were you I'd go to a Salon that stocks it and explain what you want it for - they might give you a bit to test or if the salon you use stocks it you could ask them to use it on your hair next time you go for a cut.0 -
OH has dreams where I leave him but just says 'I knew it was too good to be true!'
meanie!
That sounds about what my OH would say!
Lots of girlie talk here today, makes me want to rush home and scorch my hair, but unfortunately I'll be too busy being girlie and sewing instead!Weightloss: 14.5/65lb0 -
Sometimes you've got be a bit girly! I love hair and make-up chats, I work with people who think getting tarted up means applying a little blue eyeliner so i have to get my fix here!
I've just booked myself into a dance class tomorrow night, it's called Zoomba (or that's what it sounds like...) and it's a mixture of 4 latin dance styles. Should be fun!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. It robs you of the chance to be extraordinary!Goal Weight 140lb Starting Weight: 160lb Current Weight 145lb0 -
FOUR different styles?! Good luck with that!! I like a bit of salsa I have to sayWeightloss: 14.5/65lb0

I'd love to do a dance class
Not a clue what type though! I could do crunk or whatever it's called. I've seen Bring it On, you just stomp a lot and say 'Sha-bo-ya!'
I have to agree with you Birdie, most of the people I know are a little bit make-up starved! Only person I really have is my Sister, but she's already set in her make-up ways and rarely tries anything new0 -
I have just thought of a problem with the dance class... I'm terribly unco-ordinated! I can follow steps OK but add in hand movements and I'm lost! Don't even go there with those steps you do in aerobics where you touch your right elbow to your left knee etc, I'm useless! Will do a bit of Just Dance tonight to practice!
What annoys me about some 'older' ladies with their make-up is that they'll say 'I've used the same make-up for 20 years' but your skin changes all the time, how can something that looked good in your 20s possibly look as good in your 40s?! And things like gold lipstick and electric blue eyeliner are not a good look nowadays! But how can you tell them?!Overcome the notion that you must be ordinary. I suppose we just have to let them get on with it. And when Christmas/their birthday swings around get them a nice make-up kit
And that's another day of work over! Went quite quickly actually, so not too bad. Looking forward to getting home so I can finish my book!0 -
Lots of girly chat going on here today!
Speaking of bad make up - OHs sister wears this hideous bright red lipstick when she goes out, its a cheapy 99p one (and it shows), she thinks because its 'all the range' at the minute that it looks good and it really doesnt!! The worst thing is that at the end of the night she has a lovely red ring around her lips and nothing in the middle :rotfl:
Not much going on here, just work and savings. Feel like im just plodding along at the minute, with nothing exciting going on!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0
