LMC, my dad did that, he said anything not in the washing basket didn't get washed. So I left some handwash only trousers on the edge of the bed and he went and picked up everything including them. Oh how I enjoyed having the high ground then!

    Ouch!

Another favourite was to put our stuff in bin bags and either put it by the back door or in the garden. Soon made me learn that I needed to pick up my stuff and put it in it's rightfull place.

I'm at the 'bin liner' stage with my 2-DD's room is a PIG STY (loads of little bits everywhere!) and it does my head in.

I may start the 'if its on the floor still by X time, it goes in the bin...

  • Claire, moan away. We're here to listen and cheer you up. I'd offer you an easter bikkie, but I ate them all. Oopps.

Another one of my parents favouites was to threaten to throw our items out of bedroom windows into the garden if we didn't clean our rooms.

One day my dad stood at the window with a pair of shoes, threating to throw them out the window, where they would probably land in the fish pond! Suprisingly that got my !!!! in gear to put my stuff away.

My parents are lovely, I promise.
