    Good Morning All.
Donnygal - those links were really interesting. Hope your journey is uneventful!
JackieO - those cards for the soldiers sound a really great idea.
Felt like the proverbial headless chicken yesterday - and today will be no less busy. Ends with me chairing a committee meeting, by which time I probably won't even remember my own name, much less the intricacies of property management!
Oh well, onwards and upwards! Hope you all manage a good day today.

.... My DS1 (19) has decided to drop out of college and has no plans for the future. He will find it hard to get a job and it all seems to be very rushed....

I understand how you feel - my DS1 did 2 years of one degree followed by 2 years of another before deciding that uni wasn't for him. He had about 7 months on the dole before he got a work trial, which led to him being taken on, he's been there almost 6 months now and he loves it.

    Good Morning

Another bright frosty day. I love these mornings, very spring like:j

Off to get my hair done this morning. Its driving me mad so can't wait!

Then off to the charity shops with DD. Looks like a permanent split with her BF so we are beginning to look for furniture and more or less everything else when she moves into her own place. Think an adv on freecycle as well.

DGS began crawling yesterday, well more like a sniper kind of crawl, shuffle thing lol:rotfl: very effective though. Gets him were he wants to go!

Tea tonight will be frozen fish, chicken, salad and rice. Will use up whats in the freezer

Have a good day peeps x

  • Morning peeps

Cold and grey here this morning and we had a little rain last night. I don't mind the cold cos I can wrap up - I actually prefer to be a little cool rather than hot - I hate it when it is very hot it makes me ill.
DS has left for school. DD is still in bed she really can't shake this virus off.
Was feeling a bit low yesterday because of the car exhaust going kaput just before the MOT, Car Tax and Bills but a bit happier today cos I checked the savings account and we have enough to see us through, but I am expecting it all to come to approx £900  Big dent in savings that but at least we have the money so I count myself lucky because there are a lot of people out there who don't and have a worse struggle than we do.

Dinner tonight is air pie with polka dot spots :rotfl:
Actually it is Corned Beef and Potato Pie with mash and beans:rotfl:
Well I am off for my shower take care everyone and :grouphug: to all who need them x
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

    Good morning all :hello:,

Cloudy and grey here, but nowhere near as cold as yesterday.

Molly - definitely time for you to get tough with the doctors. They can be a law unto themselves and half the time they don't listen!
JackieO - happy birthday to Katie
bargainbird - congratulations to your DD
Julie67 - might be a good thing for your poor DD so she can start to move on
snoozer - good luck today; am thinking of you

Another day at work. Finding it really tough going at the moment, as have zero enthusiasm and feel like I have nothing to look forward to. Have plenty to do here so I should throw myself into it to try and take my mind off things, but I'm just not interested. I should have been 16 weeks pregnant today.

OS wise have managed to get back on board somewhat, and this is helping with the IBS at least. Tonight I need to sort out the bedding I washed last night (i.e work out what I can get away without ironing :o) and then do something for tea. Not entirely sure what will most likely either be egg and chips or something with cod as I have fillets which I can cook straight from the freezer.

Have a nice day, hugs to all xx

Do you think that maybe taking on a new project at work would help you feel a bit more interested in it? Might it also allow you to move along the meaningful dates whilst not trying to forget them, but by having a different focus for them? I'm sorry if those ideas don't help - I have no experience of how you & your OH are feeling :grouphug:

    Morning All

Impromtu day off as I have a sick Hubby (manflu!) Got DS1 to work and DS2 to Tech and Step Kids off to school so just me DH and DD.

Going to make some brunch soon as DD is 'starving'.... which means there's been an hours break since she last ate!

Dinner will be something to do with the leftover stewing steak from last night - either pies or mix some potato, carrot and peas in and call it stew ;)

I fancy some baking but I may fancy lazing about with sick-boy and sick-girl more :D

Have a good day whatever you're going
