My phone is coming tomorrow if I ring again they may say return the phone and get cheaper phone type then I may receive unlimited internet, if this the case I dont think I will bother paying for recorded delivery again and just pay £5 a month unlimited internet when I feel like browsing more internet out and about, at home Im always on the laptop...

It's a matter of balancing usage vs tariff, years ago (1994) when I joined orange, it was 'daft' not to be with Orange if they covered your area of use, their advantage soon diminshed when Hans Snook moved on, what narked me with orange after nearly 14yrs of custom, is that the hidden charges just kept creeping in, a £29 per month tariff, soon became often over £50, and I would have sooner the retention people throw toilet residue over me than the rubbish they were offering, the deals were just saying 'customer you are thick!'
Off I went to another SP and only regret is I didnt do it long before, my bro took one of orange retention deals wrapped up for 18 months, he now says as soon as his contract is up, he is off, as he now realises how much of a 'con' (more poor VFM) it is.
BTW the internet should cost you no more than £1 a day on orange, wonder why they did not tell you this, I sue my handset for nearly everything it can do, and use between 500mb-1gb per month of data, around 580mins and 4-500texts and about 80 pic messages, the bill a massive £19.99 inc vat:o

Only in the sense that you are with Orange, trust me, there is no need to stay loyal to any mobile company, look after yourself 1st, you have the internet, just compare what retentions are offering you, compared to what you can get almost anywhere and you will soon learn they are not offering you anything

I think it will be a good idea to ask for unlimited internet once the phone arrives if they refuse then I will say im returning the phone within my 7 day cooling of period. Im amazed at how much they swindle us, I had no idea how little 80 meg was!

make sure its definately 80MB first... dunno whether its a typo but from you saying MG I'm unsure whether you've picked it up wrong?

also once they've sold the phone they'll say unlimited internet is £7.50! really if you send it back now they'll probably offer you an even worse deal because they might think your taking the P...

have a look around. find something you WANT with a contract you WANT - ask advice here or with friends and THEN get your new phone + contract!

the changing tarriff thing is mostly a fuss... all well and good if you want to pay more! but if you want to pay less you can only go down £5 i think it is... so dont expect a new offer in 9months!
