I drink coca cola, cannot stand pepsi at all.
Can do a taste test and pick out coca cola every time it has a very distinctive taste.
I won't touch diets at all as they give me the worst migraines ever!!
And I agree coca cola tastes best ice cold out of a glass bottle

I think I'll vote (b), although I want to state that my objection to Coke/Pepsi is not the price so much as the awful behaviour of these multinational companies especially Coke.
I never, ever buy Coca Cola because of the way they droughted an area in Kerala, India in 2003: http://www.guardian.co.uk/water/story/0,13790,1012193,00.html
Also, I hate the way that wherever I go in the world, there's always Coke. the local people might be starving or have no clean drinking water, but they can buy Coke if they want!
The worst example of this I saw was in Benin. I went to visit a stilt village where hundreds of people live on a lake in wooden huts built on stilts, getting around by canoe. The people there are poor and the children are not educated, spending their days trying to get sweets from the odd passing tourist. In the middle of the village is an area of open water where they hold their market by tying their canoes together and selling their goods from there. BUT unbelievably stuck right in the middle of this unique marketplace was a billboard for Coca Cola, which said 'Refraichissez vous la vie' (Refresh your life). Wrong just wrong.0 -
I prefer pepsi over coke but cannot stand any of the diet versions.
Maybe coke are trying to revive the fact coke was originally invented as a tonic.:rotfl:

Personally I dont really drink Coke or Pepsi, apart from on the very odd occasion but DH is a food snob and will only drink branded Pepsi or Coke ~ he will not drink anything 'less'. He wouldnt settle for virgin cola or especially not any of the cheap brands. Sadly hes like that with most foods, he will not have it if its not brand named. (when he knows about it of course!!! I do the shopping and if I'm cooking he doesnt see what packet it comes out of and he still eats it!)Sam0

Poll Title: Poll started 24 July: Is it the real thing? Coca-Cola is rated the world's biggest brand worth around £40 billion, and Pepsi ain't doing so bad either. So is it just the brand or is it the taste too? Which of these is nearest your answer?
a. Coke/Pepsi taste best. I only buy them 60.7% (1934 Votes)
b. Coke/Pepsi taste best. Yet I'll still buy decent cheaper own brand 16% (510 Votes)
e. Can't taste the difference. I buy a decent own brand 11.2% (357 Votes)
f. Can't taste the difference. I buy the cheapest I can find 5% (161 Votes)
d. Can't taste the different. I buy Coke/Pepsi anyway 3.6% (115 Votes)
c. Coke/Pepsi taste best. Yet I still go for the cheapest I can find 3.2% (104 Votes)

But how do I vote or comment as I NEVER drink any either brand or non brand ... have you seen what it does to flies on a windscreen... so where does my vote go?
Its the same as 'the average person eats 8 processed meals a month' larkie as I am a meal in a moment person, be it stir-fry, sandwich or one I prepared ealier. The trap of surveys and statistics is alive and well, even with Martin and Co.0 -
Why drink any of them? none of them are good for you - drink water and be healthy! (or red wine):beer:0

Though I do prefer the taste of Coca-Cola to other colas, I too boycott their products for ethical reasons. It annoys me when certain takeaways etc don't stock soft drinks by any other manufacturer (not such a big problem here in Scotland, where Irn Bru is available from most outlets selling canned drinks).Somerled wrote:Me too, however I think that the ASDA Grape and Peach squash is fantastic. Also come to realise that chilled tap water is so much better than bottled water - a lot cheaper too. Saves the environment also - as their is no plastic bottles to recycle.
Did you realise too that most pop etc makes you more thirsty. I can never understand it when people "quench" their thirst with pop.
Caffeinated drinks will make you thirstier if you drink them a lot, because caffeine is a diuretic.0
