  • Please could you ask George how the Tories propose to clamp down and regulare extortionate doorstep lenders and what they will do to help families on lower incomes who are currently excluded from mainstream financial services.

Also, how will they improve financial literacy in education so that children leave school able to understand budgeting, mortgages, borrowing and the possible long-terms implications of the money choices they make!

    Good luck

  • I would like to ask GO if he would consider introducing a form of stamp duty that is similar to income tax - for many people owning a house worth more than £500,000 does not mean you are rich, especially if you live in London. I have calculated that is cheaper for me to send my son to a local private junior school than to move house and pay stamp duty to be nearer a better state school. So for example, to buy a house worth £600k would cost £24K at the moment - 4% flat rate. If you applied the premise that you wouldn't pay anything on the first £125k, 1% on 125-250k, 2% on 250-500k and then the 4% rate only on the 500-600k, you would pay £10250 instead which would make moving considerably more manageable and make the property market more dynamic.
  • Why is it only rich people who say class doesn't matter?

Would he consider abandoning the across the board non-income linked child benefit?
This benefit is not needed by thousands of families across UK and is just handed over to children as pocket money.

Would he reinstate the 10% tax band?
  • Given your enormous wealth, why did you fraudulently obtain money under MP's expenses?. Why did you even claim them in the first place?

Don't you think rich people who commit fraud should be treated in the same way as so- called benefit cheats who make honest mistakes?

    Will you raise stamp duty?
What will you do for the hundreds of thousands of adults working full time, paying full tax, with no children, who get the rough end of the tax burden yet make limited use of the services provided by taxation?
What are you going to do to make government finances more transparent?
current debt as at 10/01/11- £1250
  • Did you change your second home designation for financial reasons by any chance?
If not, would you volunteer to repay any money taken from taxpayers to cover interest payments since the switch?
  • Why did you change your name from Gideon?
  • Don't you think it's immoral, even if it's not against the rules, for public servants to make profits of hundreds of thousands of pounds selling houses partly paid for by public money?
  • how about a tiered stamp duty like income tax - 1% on cost of a house from 125-250k then 3% on anything above 250k etc etc?
