We have been to Pettitts lots:o but I totally agree it is fab for young children:T
I will get on to the tourist board re some brochures with vouchers:)0 -
You can also go to the dinosaur park near Norwich with tesco vouchures, its a great day out for the kids.
Also redwings horse rescue centre is free admission, we went expecting to spend an hour there and was there for 4 hours and never spent a penny.Always on the hunt for a bargain0 -
Like most people from Norwich I think there is nothing great about Yarmouth...
e.g. this fine mother here...
That said, if you must go:
The Castle Carvery in Caister is great value and decent venue - only problem can be parking - get there early or late for lunch. Two carvery meals any time Monday to Saturday before 9 pm are £10 (yes, £5 each). So much food that I would recommend missing a meal either before or after. Normally there is roast beef, pork, turkey (sometimes ham too) and all trimmings and enormous yorkshire puddings. We sit our preschoolers (2 and 4) in high chairs and then they qualify for free high chair meals (you can get far more than in the high chair bowls they provide than any non Waynetta Slob could possibly eat). Also has added benefit that they can't run off! Attached is a good soft play area which is £2 for 2 hours and free for children under three. Drinks are pub prices. Link is here.
I think Sea Life is extortionate for the entertainment it provides. Same goes for Harry Ramsden's and the food. Market does the best chips. Fish'n'Chips'Chick'n is decent. My wife was taken to Joyland as a kid and still loves it, as do our children.
You can now use Clubcard vouchers to get four times face value at Africa Alive or the Dinosaur Park.0 -
As mentioned Petitits is very good im fed up of it but the kids love it , there is the Harvester in Lowestoft that does very good cheap meals on the earlybird, and there is also the Toby Carvery at Gorleston that charges £5 before 7pm IIRC. (sign up to there website's for free ice cream vouchers)
There is also the Pizza Hut delivery(you can collect) in Yarmouth and they often have 50% off you can use, look on here for codes
Dominoes Pizza often have 50% off, and Perfect Pizza in Lowestoft is BOGOF if you collect, also check there websites amd here for ofers & codes
We went to Kessingland twice last year and went to the Harvester about 4 evenings it was very nice and cheap too
Dont go to Ramsdens for Fish and Chips you will need a magnifying glass to see the fish , a very good chip shop is just around the corner where you can sit down for the same price its behind Subway and The Circus
Toby Carvery
Harvester
Chip Shop
Pizza Hut Delivery

i don't think discounts for sea life are very hard to come by, they gave my BOGOF vouchers in wsmiths the other day when i bought a dvd, i believe that there were some in my last tesco clubcard mailing in february as well. In the Great days out in Norfolk guide there is a voucher for £4 per person off admission.0
