Curly, any of these any good...
This comes in lots of different colours and also sizes-she has a seperate ad for smaller sizes.
Or maybe this?
I don't know if this is you style, I love the 50's thing, but I know it's not for everyone..
Maybe if you wanted something long and slinky..this
or here is a seller on ebay who has LOADS of black dresses!
Here is a pic of my dress..sorry for the quality, as you can see, I took it on my phone! The shoulder bit isn't sewn on yet, so I had to hold it with my arms. It is a shame you can't see the material, it is silk organza over crushed silk, it makes a lovely sound when I move!
As you can see, I tried on a fascinator with it..and loved it! I did have a wobble earlier when I told prima BM I wasn't wearing a veil and she asked me if I was really sure..but no! I love the fascinator and I also think a veil would be too much with the shoulder bit too...
Anyway, enough rambling, hope you're all doing well?
Oh-one last thing-a freind texted me today, she's recieved her invitation and loves it :j

Thanks magicbo - i do love the 50's stlye, i had origianally wanted a dress like that for my self with the full petticoat as they are beautiful and had looked at these for the BM's. Thing is i just cant afford to spend that much on 4 dresses... that would come to more than my dress &accesories
(
i do love the ones where can change the colour of them... have been peeking a few times at them. i think if it gets to a couple weeks time and still nothing i just need to make some extra money to up the budget for them.
I did see these...

they bit plain and look in the photo like very cheap... i know they are cheap price, but some others look nicer. Was thinking somhow add netting underneath and take the bow off and add the sash.... but still just think would look very cheap(
glad you didnt have too much of a wobble and stuck to what you want) your dress is lovely! see what you mean abot the shoulder bits too, so think you making right choice!! its lovely!! :T
glad had good feed back from invites, i have had few people say they nice.... just still not getting any replies! have had 3 nos for the evening (was expected from family not living close) 1 acceptance from my nanny and grandad for the day and another 4 people saying they come in the evening. no one wants to reply!! lol x:heart2:Married my Prince Charming on 15th April 2011 - perfect day!

Curly have you got a matalan clearance near you? They had some nice dresses suitable for bridesmaids last time i was in for under £15.0

Sorry to hear you are having a problem with bridemaids dresses curly. Keep the faith, it will sort itself out.
magicboo you dress and fascinator look absolutely fabulous together, definitley not a veil! You still manage to look very bridal even without one so I think its the right choice. I think most of us have at least one prima donna BM. Darent tell mine she hasnt got a fur shrug, I just couldnt afford three of them so they have nice cotton knitted ones I got from H&M which I think they are more likely to use again. Off to mums this weekend for the essential bonding session with my dress. need to make sure the petticoat is right (shop sold me the wrong one so we have to remove layers of net) plus I really want to be able to walk around and practice sitting etc which I wont be able to do at the dress alteration place as she has a very small workroom.0 -
ooh forgot to say the vicar says not to bother with the copyright stuff for hymns in the OOS. Hes never done it in over 40 years of doing weddings and nothing has happened...0

Magicboo your dress is GORGEOUS, and your right to opt for no veil.
Im trying mine on later, soooooooo nervous. Will take some pics and post them tonight as OH away with work tonight. Will remove the link after, just in case!
Get my veil today too...... wish me luck ladies! (and man if still here) x:heart2: Got Married on 30/4/11 :heart2:

I spoke to my vicar yesterday as well he said the church pays a fee so copyright is all sorted if we want to print it all at home
. So sorry for worrying anyone it was all a bit fuss about nothing. Mind you i dont' think its that well worded online or i would not have misunderstood the process!
I think i have found someone to alter my dress but they are male! They have a good reputation and live a street away :O.
More or less sorted a disco person out.
Negotiated with "The vines" and paid for the honeymoon suite for the night (I challenged my oh with that as i got 10% off the rings hehehehe).0 -
MM2B-GOOD LUCK!! I'm sure you will look gorgeous in your dress, please leave the pics on for a little bit so we can see it! With the veil too so we can get the proper effect!
Maysie-well done on the negotiations for the room, I'm still trying to convince H2b that we should stay somewhere else on our wedding night, he wants us to go back home-but I reckon it makes more sense to have people staying in our house that night because we could fit at least 8 in our house but they won't stay if we're there!0
