I found my photgrapher online, shes not local and will be flying up for the wedding. Haven't met her and won't before the big day! I read her blog and been on her website and she seems to do stuff I like. We've had quite a few emails back and forward and she seems really nice. I had a gut feeling she was the one so just went with it! I've not even spoke to her as shes deaf and doesn't use the phone. I have full faith everything will be OK (Am possibly a bit mental!)0

CSH-I love it when something just "feels right", I'm sure you will find out you were right to go with your gut feeling.
I'm back from the church, hearing our banns being read, it's made it very official and solemn, somehow, reminding me about the marriage part when I've been thinking about all the other things we need to organise, like music for the ipod after the band and what canapes to have. It's quite nice really-makes the frippery seem less important so taken some of the pressure off!0 -
ooh jealous of the banns reading - our first ones are read at beginning of march and I am up north for my hen night!!
Spent a lovely couple of hours this morning bonding with my dress, got some pics so will upload when I get a chance. Have been fretting about finding shoes etc and now on my 5th pair but I think I will keep these ones as they dont look bad with my dress (was worried about the gold leather straps looking odd with a dress with silver trim). Managed to get time to walk around in it and practiced sitting and kneeling, which I havent been able to do before due to lack of space/time. Was also able to try my veil on and it looks brilliant - best ebay buy ever!0 -

Wow what a weekend!!!
Saturday picked up my dress from Oldham and dropped it off with Linda in Keighley then back home - 250mile round trip
Then Sunday we went to a wedding fayre at our venue and got some more bits ticked off, chatted with the Vicar to find our first banns were read out yesterday which annoyed me as I had left a voicemail for him 2 weeks ago asking this as was going to go to church to hear them :-(
Mental weekend but feel like got a load done :-)Married the love of my life on 28th April 2011 :T
Re- Renovating our 1893 build 1970's renovated property oh the joys..0 -
I got mine from this seller. You can just send her a message saying what you want and asking for samples so you can get the right colour net. She is completely lovely and the net is lovely quality too!

I got a 2 tier chapel length veil with a special cut edge and no added bling for £25.99 and it arrived in less than a week. Shorter veils are obviously cheaper, if you want added crystals etc then it costs more. The one in the shop was £175 so I saved nearly £150...
on a sad note I have just gone to upload the pics of my dress trying on session and - well - my 65 year old mum is not the best photographer. Will have to take a look later to see if I can salvage any of the really blurry pictures...0 -
Have finally found a hairdresser! Yey! Have booked trial for same day as make up trial so I get a good overall idea. Roll on 12th March!
I'm having a problem with my humanistI've emailed him 3 times since 13th Jan and left a voicemail with no reply....I'm wondering how long I should leave it before I really start to worry?? He is a well respected and well known guy ie not unproffessional so don't really know what the problem could be? We've paid our deposit to him.
I need to be thinking about putting out marriage forms into the registry office to have the marriage schedule drawn up but am reluctant to until I hear back from him as obviously he will be named as officiant.

Do you shoot in color or black and white? Or both? Do you shoot in a digital format that can create both color and b/w versions of the same picture?
What kind of input can we have on the direction of the shots? Can we give you a shot list to work from?
Are you the wedding photographer who will actually take our pictures? If not, can we meet the person who will be?
What kind of equipment will you bring with you? How intrusive will lighting, tripods, other equipment or assistants be?
Are you insured?
What happens if your camera develops a fault?
What happens if you fall ill on the day?
How can I actually be sure that you’ll be any good and that we’ll get along?
Do you offer a pre wedding shoot so we can get a feel of how you work?
Can you supply us with references?
What precautions do you take to ensure there is no damage to or loss of the photographs?
What are your payment terms?
Do we have to pay a deposit?

Its too big so im not 'pulled' in as much as I should be. It needs to be taken in several inches so it will fit better....:heart2: Got Married on 30/4/11 :heart2:
