I am dreading doing the seating plan! Have spent over a year trying to convince OH that the friends and families should be mixed, he is also adamant that a couple of my weird relatives (my sister has two autistic childrenwho are usually Ok but could potentially be a nightmare and I have a mad aunt) should not be sat with any of his friends...

Have hair & make up trial booked for 10th Feb. I havent had my hair cut since August should I get it done beforehand??? Its currently below the shoulder and the ends are looking a bit straggly. oops.

Seating plan: Dreading mine really so have been putting it off! Actually it shouldn't be too bad. Keeping family with family and friends with friends where possible. Want people to be comfortable and chat to people they know. 3 tables should take care of themselves then I've got odds and sods (!) left to seat but these are the people who haven't RSVP'd yet and some may be No's....

We've decided to break with another tradition and not have seating plans - that way people can sit where they want, and move around to chat too if they wish. We are having 4 round tables of 10. Our food (afternoon tea) is buffet style, so people just help themselves. That reminds me, I must email the venue about those sandwiches.
Enjoy the little things, for one day you may look back and realize they were the big things.

Sexymouse, thats exactly what we are doing re the evening buffet but when we were having a sit down I thought of having a table with all their namecards on which they picked up and then have a bucket with table names in and they just fished one out to sit on it :) couldn't be bothered with politics and who should sit with who :)

    Hi All,
Gleeful-How exciting is that?!! sounds like fun too..how do I join?!
Re the seating plans, it occoured to me a couple of weeks ago that I have been thinking about how to mix all my lovely friends and his lovely friends..but I hadn't thought about the fact that we'll have to mix all the not-so-lovely compulsory guests who are coming..! Oh, and his parents, who have seen each other a handful of times since they split up (acrimoniously) 22 years ago! So I've decided not to worry about it until we actually know who is coming..which means sending out the invites..really better get on with that, I suppose!! I do love your idea though Becks..pick a number & sit there!

Csh that looks fab!! Maybe I ought to do one as im in meltdown over what the blokes should wear!!! Don't want them morning suited up, I just want people comfortable my OH doesn't even have to wear a tie if he doesn't want as he gets really really nervous. As the dress is a latte colour we will prolly have to go for browns but have no clue whether suits or just waistcoats, but then do we want waistcoats. Should they all be tieless or if not then cravats or ties Aaarrgghh

lol best thing to do there is just take him to the shop and 'see' all the options on him and see what he feels most comfortable in x
