Thanks guys - it's just a shame I still have to do my normal boring job at the same time! All good experience though and I actually feel excited about something work-related for once!

I think its a great idea if you've got to motivate kids/housmates to help out...

    Dont work too hard Bookie.

Love the Chore Wars Luc, it looks hilarious.I might try just getting off my lazy arris to begin with though, the house is still a complete disaster zone and my kitchen is currently a mountain of empty boxes that need to be disposed of before the fridge arrives.

Debt busting is getting there slowly, its very motivating to see the cc balance getting smaller. dreading tackling the overdraft though

ah well, off to remove the boxes from the kitchen floor, and i think the washer is almost finished too.

OD will benefit from the card payments no longer being made... Try working out a realistic reduction for each month and you'll find yourself competing to beat the target (at least that's what happened to me. I was amazed at how I suddenly could find an extra 10, 20, 50 (or even once 200) in a month to reduce the OD.) It did help that the OD was in a separate account to my salary account so it wasn't confused by normal spends etc.

The bit I actually went for the interview for is - it's only a few hours a week but pays more per hour than my normal job does! The other stuff is unpaid but is really good experience, and chance to get a qualification. Really didn't think I would get to do this stuff formally so am really pleased - I like teaching other people things! :D
