    morning all!

a whole week off for me now:j:j:j:D

Thanks to Redruby I'll be painting for a lot of it:D;)

This morning I'm catching up on jobs from the weekend as I was working the last 3 days long hours.
Big pile of ironing and washing but it looks a nice drying day here!
I'm starting the painting in the lounge as I hate the present colour - sunny yellow as chosen by DH, its all going to be magnolia now as I have a cunning plan to get it looking nice so we can move to somewhere more in the countryside with a smaller garden. Our garden is huge and DH's health means its too much for us. We are Housing Association and ours in in a good location close to both schools. There are quite a few rural HA properties so I'm hoping someone will want to swop. We'll try and lick everything into shape so its tempting to a viewer, if that fails at least we'll have a nice house!:)

Redruby - fingers crossed for your DD. My DS also has a maths exam at college today so fingers crossed for him too x

    Donny - hope you have a good journery home x x x

PP - (((hugs))) hope you are ok x

(((hugs))) for anyone feeling poorly x

    have a great day all x x x

forgto to say - cheese and potato pie for tea!

DH did pull a face when I bought the paint in last night:D but he never does it, I do most of the decorating - he just does the heavy stuff like moving furniture and anything electrical.Dont worry I wont mention your name!;):D

    Good morning all ,

    Safe journey donny-gal
SunnyGirl - your HM fish goujons sound yummy! When you say you season the flour with garlic, do you mean crushed garlic or garlic salt something like that?
    Good luck to Redruby's DD!

Managed to injure myself in a most ridiculous fashion yesterday evening. Was in the shower and have somehow managed to nick my right elbow with my razor  For goodness sake. Not entirely sure how I managed it, but it's right where you lean (and it actually hurts!) so it's making typing today interesting :rotfl:

Am persevering with the yucky peppermint tea as although it's yucky it is settling my stomach. Have gone back onto oat cakes and corn based stuff for a bit too as yeast and wheat unsettle me too. Now just have to find a veg to go with tonight's tea that isn't from the Brassica family and doesn't have a sort of skin (like peas or sweetcorn) - any suggestions gratefully received! Hopefully then as the stress continues to seep out of me, this flare up will too.

Have a tiny bit of ironing to do OS wise, and then need to put the bedding in the WM tonight. Lunch is very plain salad for me again, with a bit of houmous to have with my oatcakes after. DH has sandwiches and a pasty and for tea tonight I'm going to do pork shoulder steaks with mash, gravy and some sort of as yet unidentified veg!

Have a nice day, hugs to all xx

    Morning All!
Cold here, but sunny. Didn't sleep that well. Cat kept coming in and out. Drove me mad, so I shut the door to keep him out, so he scratched at it till I let him in!

N9eav- Mince is so versatile. You don't have to eat it today, make something and freeze it.
Have started to seriously try and lose weight. Have made a start. Lost 4lb this week!:T It was hard at first, but getting used to it. Having a decent brekkie, this morning it was two weetabix one piece of wholemeal toast with two heaped teaspoons of baked beans. Then a very light lunch, or a main meal, and then either a main meal in the evening or a snack if I ate earlier. Doing it sensibly though. Just things like two potatoes instead of four, and an apple or tangerine instead of cakes and biscuits. It seems to be working!:T

Going to my MS social this morning. Got a lot to discuss there. My dining room is nearly finished, just the curtains to get now. Re-covered two (out of six) dining room chairs yesterday. Very pleased at the results, four more to go. It's hard getting the covers off. Whoever had them before was a mad thing with the staple gun:eek: There are about 30 staples per side, and the wood is sooo hard it takes a screwdriver and pliers to get them out! Still will persevere, the two I've done look good!
Hope everyone has a good day.

    Morning all

Today consists of cleaning the running the hoover round before the health visitor arrives. The baby is propped up in his play nest watching Mickey Mouse and looking thoroughly bemused.

Tea tonight may comprise of £1 chicken burgers from Asda as I have to run DD to ballet for 6 pm and I have to get the baby ready to go too, we will have to see how time plays out.

    Coooooeeeeeeeeee,

    Hello everyone,

Well we're back from our travels. We actually got back 1 week ago but it took a few days to get over jet lag & I come down with a bit of lurgy, so I just took it easy. We had a great time, my favourite place was Venice. Everywhere was really nice but it was pretty different. I was happy to come home & it all seems a dim memory now. :( For those who are my friends on FB I've only managed to put up some London photo's :o and haven't done any more. Rome wasn't built in a day, right. :D

It's been really hot the last two days & DH & I have really felt it. I think because we've been enjoyed winter for the last 5 weeks the heat has knocked us around. I had to take 2 panadol & a little resty this arv after coming back from town. I hope everyone's been well & happy. Byeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia. ;)

Try mashed carrots, or parsnips, or even carrot & parsnip mash...should be OK as long as you peel them. Have you tried oat based cereals, such as oatibix, oat bran crispies or Jordan's oat crunch? I find these are quite good to ease my bouts of IBS. Also rice cakes have no wheat or yeast. I find plain bio natural yogurt calms it down too, tesco's healthy eating one is good & not too sharp.
