Shampoo Makes My Hair Lank

Right folks, I do not have greasy hair. It's quite normal shoulder length hair but I find that shampoos make it really lank so that a day after washing, my hair looks as though I've been frying chips on it.

I have tried countless shampoos of various kinds which all have the same effect. Some don't wash your hair and scalp at all.

I don't use conditioner, I use warm not hot water and am otherwise in good health.

Any suggestions please? My hair is clinging to my scalp like a swimming hat at the moment.

Don't wash every day & use dry shampoo in between washes taaarrraaahhh! well it worked for me! ;) feeling even better as Baptise do dry shampoo for brunettes woohoo!, Goodluck can't be nice :( HTH!
Another thought don't use too many styling products as they can weigh hair down & leave a residue....there are shampoos that get rid of the residue, but can't think of many of the top of my foggy head :(
No one said it was gonna be easy!

Don't suppose you can bear the thought of not washing it for a week or two, see if you can get the scalp & oils into their natural equilibrium state?

When my hair was in a similar state, the only thing that ever worked was a clarifying shampoo, Schwarzkopf in particular but have tried various ones with decent results.

I shouldn't have to wash it every day. I don't have greasy hair.

I've done that. Didn't make a difference. I try not to wash it too often.

Neither do I, I just find it looks awful if I don't wash it every day.

I didn't mean to. I'm just pished off as shampoos now seem to create havoc with my hair and they never used to.

Just a thought, but how's your skin/nails generally? Maybe you're out of balance vitamin wise? I find my hair is one of the first things that go out of kilter if my diet isn't all that. (Not saying your diet is dodgy mind, just offering another thing to think about. :D)
