Hmmm. I used to work as a reporter. Now I work in magazines and on a national newspaper.

That's not my experience of people on mags, and I have worked on three.

But what kind of mags are they? Glossy fashion? "Chat" mags? Or "Shrink Wrap Packaging Monthly"? :D

I think what the mag is focussed on decrees who is attracted to work for it.

You will always get the odd person who is like that in any office, but I don;t work with people like that. We all pretty much take our own lunch in, and there's not too much clothes buying goes on. Primark is the fave shop in our office.

Did your friend not like any of her colleagues? She's being very b1tchy about them.

First, disclaimer: she wasn't a friend, she was working. Or rather waiting around to be working and chatting to pass the time IYSWIM. IIRC she liked one girl who worked there - who then left. That prompted the move to where she is now, and she likes where she works now, and the people there, but would prefer something a bit more meaty than "human interest" stories.
