Morning all, just managed to burn 2 hot cross buns whilst having a bit of a catch up on the thread. (Didn't think I'd actually put them under the grill - luckily I have a good sense of smell and smelt them before the smoke alarm went off!) Off to sort some washing....see you later x

And an ex-colleague has just got in touch to arrange to catch up next wednesday evening. Some of you may remember me getting a bit worried about him this time last year... as I wasn't sure about his motives and he's married... but I'm pretty sure it's OK and I do want to catch up. Although he did offer to meet up near home if I was working from home which I'm a bit unsure about. Not that I'd actually let him know where I lived anyway... Why is life so complicated?

At least the laundry is making progress and the DW has been loaded!

    so far today I have

    WMX2
hung 2 loads of washing out.
stripped DS's bed and put new duvet cover and pillow case on - will do sheet after work - can't be faffed with stepladders now.
    filled in 3 forms
got 4 items ready to post
washed up and put away pots.:j:j

sorted DD1 with breakfast - she is coming downstairs before I go out - she is waiting for a DHL delivery that I missed yesterday.

    sorted DD1 some clean clothes

sorted DD2's nosebleed which happened just as she was leaving for school......:eek:

this afternoon I want to do some more ironing, remake DS's bed, strip DD2's bed and possibly do our bed too - I am torn - if I do ours today the bedding can go on the line - if I do it tomorrow the forecast is DREADFUL......but I will have a clean bed to myself till Monday as OH is going to see his dad!;)

I am slowly starting to get the flylady habit - I am trying to make the best of odd 10 minutes here and there - doing the washing up, sorting the washing, doing the ironing...... I will get there!;)

Nope, just term dates. It's got good results, but the school treats parents with contempt :( In DD's frirst year I tried really hard to get involved and offer my help, but they really don't seem to want is anywhere near :( When DH finished his 4 year term as parent governor, he didn;t even get a thank you, verbal or written.
be interesting to see what OfSted say about parental involvement/support then. Personally I would be complaining - especially about ringing up and being given the wrong info...
Say she who has just phoned school AGAIN to tell them they are sending text alerts re DS to Grandma instead of mum (me)...
