I also need "things to do" vibes for work. My new post is even more sparse than the old one and I've exhausted everything I know needs doing.
Posi vibes for you, Sudsie
I'm absoulutely :mad::mad::mad: with DS's school. Every year they have a careers evening where they invite in big local employers and the colleges (we have no 6th form). I hadn't received a letter about it (unusual, as DS is pretty good, but he said there wasb't one). I rang school yesterday, and the snooty secretary said it was tomorrow, Thursday. When DS went to scouts, his friend had been, as it had been held Wednesday :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
Off to find a list :j

Nope, just term dates. It's got good results, but the school treats parents with contempt
In DD's frirst year I tried really hard to get involved and offer my help, but they really don't seem to want is anywhere near
When DH finished his 4 year term as parent governor, he didn;t even get a thank you, verbal or written. :rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

Morning all
HelenHelen - hugs sweetie
PenPen - our primary treats parents like that. I can see why you are furious, it would be interesting to find out how many attended (and gauge how many did not know) but that would be hard to do.
Soappie - good luck for tonight, they love it
Greenbee - hope no news is good news
Hex hope things are better with DSS
Pooh - how are you now?
G&B - glad everything is going well with you DD
Not much flying planned as builder is knocking a hole in the wall in DS3's room today which will create a lot of mess. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -

I've got a reply... grown up and sensible, which is to be expected from a sensible grown up
. I'm happy ... not sure what it means for me, but you can't have too many friends can you? Particularly not ones who you know you can trust and rely on.
And I've just discovered the water filter needs changing... the water tastes grim
One load of washing done, another one about to go in. Still using the TD as the garden is a bombsite, but hopefully only two more weeks and then it'll be ready to start putting back together.
Veggies chopped and soaking (half way through washing really!) for soup to go in SC before they go over...
Work diary is booked till 9pm :eek: so I'm going to use my writing time this morning to shower, dress, do laundry and hopefully a bit more flying, and walk the long way round to the post office in the sunshine to get my travel insurance. Must remember to be back for what looks like being a really unpleasant client call at 1pm...
catch you all later...0
