I've just done a mammoth shop at Asda, went to put a load of stuff in the freezer and its defrosted EVERYTHING in it :mad::mad::mad::mad:
I was meant to be going out tonight but am going to have to cancel so I can cook lots of things with the defrosted stuff in order to freeze it all cooked. Luckily we have a spare freezer in the garage which we had switched off to save on the electricity bill, so while we decide if the fridge part is still working well enough and/or fix the freezer part. I am already deciding ow to rearrange the kitchen to fit in a wide american-y style one
If it is very cold (like in my house at the moment) the fridge my shut down when the temperature outside reaches the same as the temperature inside. Unfortunately with fridge-freezers, this sometimes means that due to a design feature
the freezer bit ALSO shuts down, even though it's still much warmer outside it than inside...
