  • How much were Bounty's?!

I don't remember but they were absolute paradise ;)
  • I can't remember how much they were last week, let alone 'back in the day' but one things for certain, they were bigger and tasted better, or is that just age changing the memory?

Pad of £1 from me today, I will try and do better this month.

I know one thing that was definitely bigger and better - wagon wheels. They were massive and had loads of that jammy flavoured stuff. Those were the days when wagon wheels were real wagon wheels :D <Rawhide theme tune playing in background>.

I started feeling my age when I asked someone at work a few years ago to nip to the shop and get me a packet of Opal Fruits and they didn't know what they were

Yep! Them thar wagon wheels were bigger in them thar days! and the walnut whips had half a walnut in the bottom bit and .......jammy dodgers had way more jam!
I saved my threepenny bits and sixpences in an old smartie tube but I still think the old memory is playing tricks on the taste buds!!!
Have to say that Haribo sweets just don't give the same buzz as fruit salads and black jacks!
My DD thinks I'm mad when I start to sing "R whites lemona-a-ade" and "Everyone's a fruit and nut case"
Time to step out of the time warp and come back to reality ! or is it?
May you fill up the great clutterbucket of life and may all of your leaks be in cheese sauce:D
Use it up, wear it out, make it do or do without:cool:

I can't believe its a Holland vs Spain final.

You must be very excited Euro? I backed the Dutch yesterday! Guess the whole of Netherlands will be decked out in super Orange on Sunday? (And downing de Oranjeboom?) Post a pic if you can...Would love to feel the atmosphere of being in a country who is participating on WC finals day(was born after 1966 lol)- I was in Almeria in Spain when they won the 2008 Euro's - was superb.

I really thought Germany were looking good...pleased for Spain though. Will put my PAD in Spanish colours today....

Today's PAD is GBP 61. Thanks for counting Angelic - wish it was a Scotland vs England final....

I'm quite pleased as I actually think that Holland stand a better chance against Spain than they would against Germany. Also pleased for Spain as I understand that this is their first world cup final! So good for them! :)

I'll go out and about and take some pics this weekend and on Sunday. Am sure I can find plenty of locals willing to have their pic taken during half time! :) I've even seen a couple of pubs painted orange!! Yes - ALL OVER!

Did you know......whenever the Dutch team score their first goal of a match, the fans watching in the pubs throw their beer into the air and, therefore, all over each other?! My German colleague was complaining about it on Tuesday, after getting soaked in the pub on Monday! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Asked me if the English did it too. Í was like 'Why would they waste perfectly good beer???' :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Looking forward to Sunday!!
