Flower I am sure you will be fine - simply for the fact that you are now aware of your spending, budgets etc, try not to let it worry you and enjoy the move.

Sorry for my absence yesterday - was away for work. But today PAD of £3.88 towards halicrap CC. My friend who owes me money has sent it now :) just waiting on the banking system doing their thing! will be a nice extra PAD.

    Hope everyone is well.

Euro - what a pain about your dentist insurance, on the plus side at least your rebate can cover it and you dont have to add to your debts!

Soooo true! Thanks to the rebate and my holiday allowance that was paid out this month. Otherwise, I'd be screwed!

And I still get to reduce my Virgin CC quite a lot. I also have a small amount on my Dutch CC, which I could clear in total, but the interest is less than half of the UK ones and I can pay the Dutch one quite easily over two months or so.

Man, it all got a bit complicated lately!

Hi all, a pad of £9 today - £1 to Barclaycard and £8 from surveys into my paypal account.

Congrats to Flower on the house move - good luck with it.

can I ask a PAD question? I expect to be able to make a large PAD by the end of the week, now I know the sensible thing to do is to pay it off the highest rate card but it would clear half of one of my other cards and I'm really tempted to pay it off MINt at the lower rate as I know I could then be one card down by the summer, am I being silly?

Ouch is right....in every sense of the word! lol.

But, it needed doing and I'm fortunate enough to be able to afford the bills this time. And...I'm going to increase my insurance cover for next year. It's only an extra €5 a month to increase the cover to €500 per annum, rather than just €250. I could have it at €1,000, but.....then the dentist has to sign a form to say that they don't expect any major work in the next year and not sure if that's the case for me or not.

Still need to get the wisdom tooth removed, but I'm in denial about that (except for when the pain reminds me! lol) for now. That is definitely covered by insurance as it's surgical but......it hurt so much afterwards last time and got infected and I ended up having 2 weeks off instead of just 2 days. So, I'm being a wimp for the time being! lol

    No, I don't think you're being silly.

Paying it off the highest interest card first is the cheapest way to clear the debt but........sometimes we need the incentive of clearing a cheaper/smaller balance in order to keep us going and stay motivated/focused.

I think you should do whatever will make you happiest. :)

    Hi Minni

I asked the same question recently and decided for the motivation factor it was better to clear a smaller debt which is what I am doing.

For me clearing a £500 credit card is easier then clearing £7000+ :rotfl:
