they just take your breath away, I would definitely complain, the very fact you are paying a DMP puts you in hardship and for them to say that the card is active again is just beyond belief and to offer a loan, I'm sure I saw a post that said that was against all the rules. Get complaining in writing, you've been reasonable and it hasn't worked, start being unreasonable, after all, they never actually stopped.

    Just spoke to Payplan,

Just keep paying as normal, they say.!! Girl I spoke to sounded about 10 years old. Will be better if they pass the debt on to a third party, may stop interest then. :( Yeah, right. Clydesdale, passed on to a third party just last week, and again, same thing, because we are paying over the minimum payment, they will not stop interest. Lloyds are not going to stop interest, they didn't call it a loan, they said they could put a new Payment plan in place. I don't think so.:p

Right, off to consider my options......its even crossed my mind to come off the DMP and handle things ourselves. Marbles, also not accepted DMP this time too.....same thing...paying over minimum payment.!! Will there be no end to all this..

Nanna...its my turn for the tissues now, but I am alternating between fits of rage, and despair.

  • aww Elsie I don't know what to suggest, its because you are paying over the minimum, so the whole stupid system resets itself. I know you've got a whack to pay so if yu took it all back, could you then throw the high interest stuff the most money and keep the interest free stuff on the mins, so like doing a snowball??

Its very hard and not in the least helpful of the creditors to do this, it has worried me from the start, I guess you are far too honest and have told Payplan the absolute truth and therefore you've ended up in this situation, a warning to us all. The DAS thing inScotland would prevent this. Have a wee cuppa and relax and see what the OH thinks.

We have got £33k to pay back, and we pay £1535 a month on DMP... We could pay more, as you say, we could throw more at the highest interest stuff, but will people like Cahoot, and Barclays, start to add interest.. they stopped almost from the beginning. Perhaps in hindsight, you are better paying low, and staying low and banking any excess.

OH in later, will discuss......will let you know what we decide.

    I

Just been reading through all the latest posts. Everything sounds so scary. I thought once you were on a DMP that was that until the end. Elsie how can they say you're no longer in financial hardship - its just madness. We're all trying to do our best to pay back our debts and yet this crap happens (excuse my language). I had letter from HFC bank who were supposed to have accepted DMP but from latest statement I have paid £125 from CCCS yet they have charged me £175 plus £12 late charges and £12 overlimit charge - well of course its overlimit because their interest and charges have made it so:mad:.
Good luck and hugs to everyone who has made or will have to make scary phone calls to unreasonable creditors.
I was hoping to have non-spend week but already there's a drinks leaving do for someone and also people are all putting in £4 for pizza to be delivered at work Thurs lunchtime. Hard to think up excuses without sounding churlish.
Keep strong everyone. I'm rushing out to buy Heat mag. Enough about earrings what about belly button jewellery. Elsie how about modelling for that?

    dmb.

I don't mind the earring modeling, but I think the belly bar might be taking it a tad too far.!!

    X rating springs to mind.

We are still on the DMP and, looking at everything realistically, nothing has changed for the moment. The creditors who have not accepted our DMP have always charged us interest, so that's still the same. Payplan will continue to pay them. Its the creditors such as Barlclays, Cahoot (who have now been taken over by Santander) will they suddenly refuse our DMP and start to add interest, which will mean we have a lot longer to go.

They say we are no longer in Financial Hardship........well for the last 2 years we have managed on £x allowed to us by Payplan and that hasn't increased, so we are still living within their budget, but any increases in pay etc have gone direct to Payplan to distribute to our creditors. So from our point of view, nothing has changed except that our balance of debt has reduced.

So for th time being we are going to stay as we are, keep paying, but any further increases in salary etc will not show up.....if you get my drift. Any spare cash we get will now be saved for full and finals.
