    Hi Elsie

    Thanks for the congrats :j
I do my induction the end of next week and then start work straightaway :j
I'm just so relieved that I have finally got a job and I know that it is something that I will enjoy:j
Its quite scary how many firms don't want us oldies but this is a good mix of all ages (which is nice)

It will be lovely to buy OH a pressie without having to ask him for the money to buy it. It doesn't take much to make me happy these days.

    Cuddles:)

    Really well done to you.

I bet you are looking forward to starting, and its always nice to have some money that is "yours" or that you have earned.!!

As you say its nice to be able to buy something occassionally

    Hi again

At the end of the day what I bring in wouldn't keep us above water if OHs job went but the BR has left emotional scars and I think I need to have the feeling that I am contributing (if that makes sense) to the family budget.

Not to mention it makes you feel old and unwanted when you get rejection letters or even worse no answer at all. Its only when you are unemployed that you realize how few jobs there are at the moment.

I think I understand what you mean.....I have felt that way too, over the past few years I have only had a very reduced salary, but I felt that I was doing my bit in paying our debts.

I am lucky now, that the store I work for, or rather the girls I work with will not allow me to retire, I only have to mention it and they say, "You will get old if you stay at home "....so I think I may be there for quite some time yet.

    Hi all:hello:
    Thanks for the congrats

I think I am too tired to join in the pole dancing. All that going to vote has really worn me out:rotfl:

I'm a glutton for punishment so I am now settling down with a nice cup of tea to see who is going to ruin the country for the next 5 years:coffee:
    Have a good night everyone
