    Hi dmb

Fingers and toes crossed.........permenantly at the moment.!

Moussaka sounds good, I've just had beans on toast and it tasted great. I think when I've been away and eating constantly I really looked forward to something very simple.

My OH is also away, so at least he's not adding to my already massive washing and ironing piles.!!

The gossip may be much more interesting than the politics.....especially with a little tipple or two.

    Good morning everyone.:D

I hope you are all well and ready for another day......its going to be a long day 'cos all we will hear about is the election.!! I, for one, will be glad when its over. I am still undecided who to vote for, because no one actually fills me with confidence that they are the right party to vote for.!!:(

Just done the usual bank check, and still okay. A fairly boring day for me, I'm still working my way through the washing and ironing.!! and the boring chores that need to be done, like dusting and hoovering. :(

Will be waiting to see what the postie brings, if anything.!! :p:)

Right, need coffee and breakfast, but will be popping in and out all during the day. No work for me until tomorrow.:T

    Hi all:j

Hope everyone is OK - I am just congratulating myself on not being
on the election staff at the polling station - done it for years, for the money. Usually I sit for 12+ hours with the most boring bloke on earth who isn't even my DH:eek::eek::eek: Anyhow this year I decided I could make that much money if I just sold something from my website, so I can stay home & do that instead:j:j:j Now just to force myself to do it:rotfl:

Had a friend come round yesterday who was complaining that she spends £200+ every week in Sainsburys on food, that's not counting all the topups through the week, & the animal food as well, probably £300 p/w avg. Told her £200 is my budget for the MONTH for us + animals - there are only 3 of us & 5 of them, but still.....................:eek::eek:

Good luck with the post Elsie - we didn't get anything yesterday either were they on strike???? Made up for it the day before as E-on sent us an energy bill for £4600:eek::eek::eek: We've had so many tussles with them, at least DH doesn't panic any more...........on reflection, they realise, they MAY have made a mistake:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

    Morning All

am still extra Dopey from brain overload yesterday, funny how as you get older you get more set in your ways. Went to the course yesterday, there are five of us in a wee room, complete strangers, the tutor asks as all to stand up and do some stretches together!!!!! I just sat there and looked at him, it was an IT course, nothing to do with PE. He asks me to get up I say no I am here for IT to PE, one of the other women sits down and says she agrees with me, can we just get on? Then everyone sits down and we do boring IT. Tutor at lunchtime tells me it was an attempt at a bonding session for the class, I said, nice people, only here to-day don't particularly want to bond and he was wasting my time. Am I now a candidate for Grumpy Old Women???

What on earth does she spend all that money on......Like you we have around the £180/200 per month and we do quite well on that.......I think its true, that the more money you have, the more you spend.....I wonder how much food stuff she actually throws out.!!

£4600 for energy bill......do they think that you live in a castle.!! Hope they get it sorted soon for you. Will try and find something out on the FH for you today.....do you know if John married and had any children?. If so ...any names

    Hi Elsie

Not sure what she spends all the money on although she did make me laugh when she said she'd taken notice of all the TV chefs telling us to use cheaper cuts of meat. She bought belly pork & it was lovely, tender meat & crisp crackling - that she broke her tooth on:rotfl:Also we discussed the fact that we are being conned by food companies where they don't increase the price but they reduce the pack size. YES she said - I eat Duchy Originals oatcakes every day for breakfast which are £2 something a pack....then she saw them for £1.99 & when she opened them realised they were smaller biscuits & there were less of them - I suppose that could be the answer to the big food bills, if that's her brand loyalty:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Re John & the FH, yes he deffo married & had 2 or 3 kids, lived on The Avenue in Seaham. Have asked if any names remembered & will LYK if I get any joy back. Found a photo of Robert's dad - no name except Grandad (!) but has a lady with him & it says ....with niece Bella'. HTH I know it's not much

PS where is the Wad these days:beer:
