Help- roaming calls that I did not make!

Options
I have been a customer with o2 for nearly 3 years now. I have just checked my bill ( I have an iPhone) and I have been charged £25 for roaming calls while I was in Jamaica (I work for airline so am away alot).

I always have Data roaming off, always turn off my voicemail and do not make calls while abroad.

I have called o2 today and they have said they will do a network test but if they find the network was working correctly then I will be liable for these calls.

I did not make these calls and wondered if anyone else has had this problem and if they have what they managed to do about this.....

Were you in Jamaica at all during this period that they said the calls were made. Also, were these actually calls or data charges.

Not sure but is there any charge for receiving calls when in Jamaica?
  • Hi

I was in Jamaica- but the times of the calls were while I was sleeping- or while I was onboard and aircraft.

I checked out some of the numbers and they are to somewhere in China, UK and Kansas, USA.

They are definately call charges not for data.

Have you recently installed or used any third party applications that might do something like this?

If not, the system just seems to be wrong. If there are third party apps in your phone that might be the reason for these calls, just check that they're not made also in UK.
:o Hope this helps at all :p

Unfortunately I was all by my lonesome :o) hehe

Also at the times they were made the phone and myself were locked in the room so no one else could have used it

Cant tell what the 1509 number is but the others look like UK numbers.

leading 7 - are mobile numbers in uk

-- got that wrong a bit - the suspicious ones are the two in middle

    EDITED - removed numbers
