Sorry girls
I am now on a guilt trip
lol dont go guilt tripping on my account me sweets:)
I'd rather you were posting on here managing to wade your way through it than to switch on to a post from you saying me nose has now gone under and my snorkels drifted away :rotfl:. For me long as i'm getting through it if I thought I could be paying wrongly and then get hit by a huge arrears i'd get it checked sooner rather than have a whopper racking up.0 -
Well I called them up today but there is some kind of industrial strike taking place and I've to call back later on in the week.
I'm hoping it will reduce as at the moment I pay back to my ex a certain amount a month.
I don't think it's fair that he has another 2 children with someone else and pays me a fortune just because we are on CSA1, I've asked and asked for it to be re-assessed on CSA2 but unless I close the case down and reapply in 13 weeks I can't. I don't want to do this as I'm not sure he'll pay.
I've recently been made redundant and taken on a job with much lower hours in the hope of finding another job whilst in a job, rather than not work. however i've tried to apply for Council Tax Benefit and my income is too high - I'm guessing because my ex gives me nearly £500 a month, they don't take into account the money I give him back a month though.
So hopefully if it does reduce I can re-apply and maybe get somewhere. Actually no, hopefully I'll have found a job with more hours and won't need too, every the optimist!Forty and fabulous, well that's what my cards say....0 -
am i picking this up correctly, CSA payments go down when a child reaches 11?? or is this just on CSA10
-
only on CS1 and only if you request that they do a recalculation; but it doesn't guarantee a reduction as there are a lot of variables.0

Imagine them catching up with you and they find out you had several wage rises???
Well done, you should be applauded as the NRP who is taking responsibility for helping support your own child :T I wish more people were like you!!0 -
I know on the face of it it's the fair honest thing to do to inform the CSA about pay rises, but what about the NRPs who are on CSA1, and are paying a huge amount in comparison with how much they would pay on CSA 2? - e.g we pay more £550 a month, and on CSA2 we would pay about £250 - so the PWC already benefits to the tune of about £300 a month due to the CSA system - what is fair and honest about that?
I can't see any NRP's in a similar situation rushing to tell the CSA that they have had an increase in pay.
If the CSA was a fairer system then maybe there would be less deception and bad feeling all round.

there is nothing fair or honest about the csa. they abuse their powers, are corrupt, incompetent and have been deemed unfit for purpose.
and as you rightly posted, if there was some honesty and fairness, then more people would play ball.
also, if they didn't actively promote AND financially reward contact blocking then compliance rates would go up even further.NEVER ARGUE WITH AN IDIOT. THEY'LL DRAG YOU DOWN TO THEIR LEVEL AND BEAT YOU WITH EXPERIENCE.
and, please. only thank when appropriate. not to boost idiots egos.0 -

when and where do they ever do that? Come on Speedy, the bitterness is creeping in again!Be who you are, say what you feel, those who mind don't matter, those who matter don't mind. They say that talking to yourself is a sign of mental illness. So I talk to the cats instead.0 -

and as usual you come into a battle of witts unarmed.
it is a consequence of the shared care system on csa that pwc's are rewarded via a higher assessment for reducing nrp's overnight stays. FACT/
i also have a letter from my ex to my solicitor informing him that on the advice of her caseworker she has reduced my overnight staying contact and that if i give her more money she would "allow me" to see my daughter more often. FACT
whether you like it or not, it's FACT that reducing overnight stays increases asessments and the chimps on the phones actually advise pwc to reduce contact to increase assessment and therefore they are financially rewarded for it. FACT
yes, i am bitter about it as it has caused me no end of grief, but my post is based on FACT, unlike your constant whineings.NEVER ARGUE WITH AN IDIOT. THEY'LL DRAG YOU DOWN TO THEIR LEVEL AND BEAT YOU WITH EXPERIENCE.

Oh, FACT FACT FACT.....
Thought you said you weren't bitter any more? make your mind up!!
You're so easy to get going....
Where have I been whining? I'm only 2 months into the whole CSA thing.
If the NRP had always been in contact and provided financially then I wouldn't have to go to the CSA in the first place!Be who you are, say what you feel, those who mind don't matter, those who matter don't mind. They say that talking to yourself is a sign of mental illness.
