Very strange, the minimum income for all of their cards is £30k?NPowerUser wrote: »I would agree with that. I guesstimated my income and shoved down 23K as my income when I applied for their platinum card, accepted within 60 seconds online.Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0 -
Could have been 33K I guess that I put down?
I applied for it just to get the high cashback so during the first year things like petrol, food etc were all slung on it. Concert tickets, you name it but I got increasingly frustrated with it as less and less outlets seem to want to take it.
B&Q were the most recent retailer I visited, strange as they use to accept it.0 -

Probably my sister bank details,i ve used it with orange and it was ok for setting up direct debit from her account,when she was still in Uni.Anyway you are right probably they verified the account details.I dont know if they use acc details for verification.But they should have call me or my company before taking unwanted Cifas decision.BASFORDLAD wrote: »Its proberly because you used your sisters bank details..0 -
@Izools
They did not ask any documents initially until i got this letter.Hope my sister account that i put on the application as bank account,does not have any negative,becuase the orange contract i got on my name for her,i used her own bank account for the direct debit,which is ok.
No bloody wonder they think you're impersonating then!!!
They ask for your bank account details nor your sisters, mothers, son's, friends, etc.
It is used as one of the ID checks. Surely you have your own bank account?
Orange want to know where to take payment from. This is why they didn't stipulate the account should be in your name.
Amex want you to prove you have a bank account and do an ID check. This is why they did stipulate the account should be in your name.
EDIT: Unfortunately the CIFAS marker is justified, because technically you committed application fraud. They asked you for your bank account details and you knowingly entered someone else's.
Admittedly it was unintentional, atleast now you will read application forms more carefully! :beer:Cashback Earned ¦ Nectar Points £68 ¦ Natoinwide Select £62 ¦ Aqua Reward £100 ¦ Amex Platinum £48

Do i need to call Amex that i did it or not or i should ignore,when you said they might think i made applicationfraudulentlydue to my sister acc details.The Cifas's marker for now is still impersonation,so if it was because of my sister acc,they might change Cifas's marker to Fraud,if i should call amex that i did it.No bloody wonder they think you're impersonating then!!!
