Yahoo mail cannot connect why?

Options
Hi I am having problems logging into my yahoo mail. It keeps saying cannot find server. I have got into yahoo by typing it into the web thingy, yahoo mail then appears I go to sign in with my password, then it keeps coming back by stating the server cannot be detected. Either refresh or try again later. I have switched off the broadband box, started all over again but it still does the same thing. Everything else seems to be working or connecting ok its just my yahoo mail thats playing up. Has anyone got any ideas for me to try please although i am definatly not an IT person. Thanks demented.

Thanks Demented for starting this thread - long story but here is the short one - I joined up with talk talk for the free broadband offer, Wednesday this week they disconnected my Tiscali and I am now left without internet. I phoned talk talk and on the 30th phone call, I was told my modem and cd would arrive within 4 weeks, yep FOUR weeks. After being put on hold by the Indian call centre worker for 35 minutes I was told to go to the carphone warehouse shop in barry and get the modem and CD. I went there, they looked at me stupid.

The moral of the story - think twice before getting talk talk, I have explained I work from home and I am losing income, they do not care. Their CS is appalling and they give bad information. Basically, they seem unable to cope with demand.

I am now having to borrow time on family PC's or the library and the point I am making on my visits around several computers today, I have been trying to get into my yahoo email and was cursing talk talk for that too. Guess we are all experiencing problems then - but due to this thread now I know it's not only me.

  • it's a Yahoo problem that they're having this weekend.
lots of their services aren't working for lots of their users today.

should all be OK by tomorrow (monday) though.
