Yahoo mail cannot connect why?

I'm off to bed.... had enough of this messing about with yahoo.

Thanks skipclick - I have now just managed to borrow a PC with a modem in it, so now have one PC with a speedtouch modem which is useless for talk talk and a dell pc which I am currently using which has an integrated modem which I am using a dial up service on :rolleyes: This now means my PC is chugging compared to the tiscali speed I enjoyed and I am now paying for internet when my phone line and talk talk internet tells me my phone line is ready and able to accept their service :mad:

I work as a mystery shopper submitting reports and sell alot on ebay so yes, I do need my internet and yes I do get petrol money

it's a Yahoo problem that they're having this weekend.
lots of their services aren't working for lots of their users today.

should all be OK by tomorrow (monday) though.

I use Yahoo as my homepage and when I clicked on a share portfolio on it today (Monday), a screen comes up asking me to log in, this has never happened before but what surprised me even more was the fact that the message was in French ! I went back to my homepage and tried another portfolio, this time I was invited to log in, in Spanish. My username was correct on both log-in pages. I put my passwoed in but it was rejected. My question is, should I have translated my password into Spanish and then logged in ? I've heard about a Babel ? site, is there a facility on there than I could use.
It's taken me over 50 years to get to grips with the English language (Black Country inhabitant), I can't be bothered to start learning foreign languages at my time of life.
