Film 4 free at 9pm tonight!

That sounds technical..... I thought it would be just 'plug the box in and away you go', I bought a new aeriel to put in the loft to try to get more channels but that did not work either.

I miss Sky (sigh)

Do you have a signal booster attached?

My friend cant get a signal for film four even though has all other channels, when rescanned came up as no signal for film 4.

I assume you know that you can still use your Sky box without subscription which in some ways works out better.

Do you actually need to rescan your Freeview box? Doesn't Film4 just replace More4+1?

I found (at least on our boxes), that channel 31's title remained More 4 +1, but the programme listings were upto date.

Only "re-scanned" in order to tidy things up.

I didn't realise that was possible... do you just leave it on and it gets freeview channels?
I'm emigrating soon so obviously wanting to cancel, but if the sky box will still pick something up I'll leave it for my parents.

ye, im having the same problem with freeview a wee sagem box from argos, before i could find film 4 but not be able to view it , i dont have the top up version, and now that the box has been retuned as it had detected more channels i cant even find film 4.
if anyone manages to solve it could they please post it up as it'd be a nice bonus to get film 4 on the freeview.

Not only are the adverts increasingly crap, but trying to watch a film on channel 5 is awful because they chop it up so much, and have you ever tried watching ABC1? It's the annoying adverts which cause me to record on video/Sky+ any long/clashing programmes on commercial channels and then speed through them when playing them back!
