Everyone who feels it is not necessary; it is often said that people who don't offer basic courtesies to other people on the seemingly unimportant things in life, are the type of people to stab someone else in the back about something that is really important....
I disagree at some point it becomes a pointless exercise to the company that wastes valubale resources and time (if done by letters).

Its not all about efficiency, jd turk. You shouldn't do everything in business, or in life in general, only if it looks good on the balance sheet. That is very short-term thinking.0

I wouldn't but longetivity with employees are not all about whether a company replied to their job application and if anything in so miniscule its not worth putting long term effort in
