Many thanks for that, will keep trying.0

It seems to be mostly a DNS issue. If you switch to using other supplier's DNS servers you might be able to work OK. That's what I did when the problem started.0

yes my madasafish line is down too, been most of the day, cant access their site to find out how long this will take,
There seems to be another thread appearing saying similar problems with bt internet. so it may be a BT issue.

Well this is what I do, but I must stress that this probably only works if you are already logged in when the problem starts. I'm working fine at the moment but if I logged out I probably wouldn't be able to log-in again until the problem is fixed.
1) Know some alternate DNS servers, e.g. from your dial-up supplier by doing
ipconfig/all when connected via dial-up and looking at the bottom line (DNS servers).
2) If your BB provider DNS servers stop working over-ride the defaults by opening "network and dial-up connections" in the start menu do properties on your connection icon, select "Internet protocol" properties and change the DNS servers in the bottom boxes.
Obviously this only helps for minor problems, not major connectivity problems.0 -
I'm finally back on-line, been down all day. Can I claim compensation for this, most inconvenient.0
