Afternoon all
Sunny but cold here today.
MIA yesterday had a really busy day - first shopping. Got home and realised DH had left 2 bags of shopping in Farmfoods  so sent him back to get them ! Luckily they know us in there and had put it away for us so he just had to pick up the bags.
The afternoon was just as crazy my friend's 8 month old grandaughter was rushed into hospital with what they thought was a run of the mill ear infection but they think there is an infection in the bone so she is going for a head scan today....
DH painting the front room today in readiness for the new suite then it will be the dining room's turn (I say dining room but it is actually my bedroom cos I can't do stairs that well anymore) We have converted the utility room into a dining area.
One more load of washing to do and then I think I might do some baking
JackieO : I hope that your arm is improving ((hugs))
Zippy: Doesn't matter if you have a moan, it is good to vent sometimes - glad you have a fridge freezer again. Hopefully things will start looking up for you now. ((hugs))
npm: Kids do say the funniest things it brings back memories of when DD was little and always asked for strangled eggs.:rotfl:
Julie :grouphug: for DD as old as they get we all still worry about our kids x
Jackieglasgow I am glad you are finally getting somewhere with your son.
MancMillyMolly: Bad news about the job, hope you find something soon x

Made DD(16) a cooked brekkie as a treat and put a beef stew in the oven for later tonight.
DH is away sorting out relatives bungalow - still have final clearing up, fixing of garage roof, decorating and new floor coverings to do.
He should be back at tea time but doubt if he will be hungry.
I've just been catching up on the last few days as we have been preparing the house for a couple of viewers.
People who came on Thursday are "interested and thinking over the weekend" but have not sold their house yet.
Another couple were due yesterday but uncontactable to confirm. Estate agent just phoned to say they did a drive by this morning and decided it was not for them.
Sigh- I am so tired of tyre kickers, nosey parkers and people who want to see if we are desperate enough to "give" the house away Grhh!
On the bright side DH now works reduced hours from home (he does not want to use the term retired or early job pension ) - we no longer have a company car that guzzled diesel - have our own very practical vehicle that sips fuel!
One dd is waiting for word of a job interview in London so fingers crossed
and our just turned 21 year old last week is in her final year at university and seems on course for what she wants.
She just e mailed to say she went to a Navy Ball last night (very big deal with lots of the girls spending a fortune on dress etc). She went in a dress we got in the sales a few months ago and has not worn yet - and was voted second place as "Best Dressed".
What makes me smile is that I had to talk her into it and buy it for her as she said she would never have anywhere posh enough to wear it.
What makes me smile even more is that the dress ended up costing £10 yet held its own with the deb and designer outfits there.
Mums know best - lol!!!!!
Hugs to all."This site is addictive!"
