    Morning all

Have woken up to the first grey and drizzly morning in over week - I was just getting used to the sun too lol!

I have no car this morning as everyone else needed to be at work in various directions, so will tidy round first thing, then need to compare motor insurance quotes as ours is due, then will do some knitting I think.

Julie (((Hugs))) for your poor DD, it is awful to see them so upset and know that there is nothing you can do to help isn't it. We were in a similar situation with DD1 earlier this year (although they weren't married - but they called the wedding off after living and being together for 10 years)

Hester glad to hear OH's wages finally arrived, how could they just forget?!?!?!?

MMM sorry it was bad news at work, will they offer you another position do you think?

Hope you all have a good saturday

    x

    Morning all

DD is sat on my shoulder giving me a 'hug' that feels a lot more like a head-lock!

Managed to save the meat that was in the broken freezer but the other bits and pieces in there were mush by the time the new FF had been allowed to settle and get plugged in. There wasn't that much in as I had been trying to run it down to defrost .

Got 11 MSing jobs done yesterday and between that and taking DS to physio and the step-kids to their mums for the weekend I was out for nearly 12 hours and fell asleep in the chair after doing my reports and downloading the photos I'd taken.

DD had a late night as she'd fell asleep in the car for a while so I got up at half six this morning while she was sleeping.....the hour of peace until she woke was bliss!

Need to go and get us both washed and dressed and then wake DH as we're out MSing again today...another 11 jobs on the cards but to be fair there's 7 of them you could hardly call work!

Best be off, have a good day x

    Good morning everyone.

Guess loads of us are having a lie in this morning. Had a busy day yesterday, went shopping and got myself a couple of lovely tops and some underwear. Got some great bras in Evans reduced from £20 to £3. Bargain all round, will be going onto their site soon to see if I can bag anymore, as they fit perfectly!

I have a stinking cold today, and lots to do. The house needs a quick blitz, which I've given myself an hour to do. The dogs stuff is in the WM, then the boys' bedding and ours to do. OH has still to get a shirt for tomorrow as I never [STRIKE]looked for[/STRIKE] found anything for him yesterday.:o

Boys had a haircut yesterday, I usually do it myself, but was feeling yucky and DS1 has long-ish hair which I felt might be beyond me now, it cost me £17, and DS1' hair is terrible looking, he has really thick hair, and she cut the layers really bluntly, so it has scissor marks all over the back. She did say if he didn't like it I could take him back, but TBH I don't trust her anymore. I wil have a wee go at it later, to take the sharpness off the layers, and thin it down a bit, can't make it any worse. Sorry that was a bit of a tirade, but DS1 has mild ASD tendencies (won't give him a diagnosis as it's not pronounced enough!!!!!!!!!!), and his hair is something which causes us lots of stress, which is the reason he has it long in the first place.

Out to the garden centre later for some pretties for the garden, now that the seeds are all started for the veggies. Tonight DS2 is overnight with a friend and DS1 has a friend over here to stay, who is a delightful boy, and they get on so well, so should be a lovely night Chez moi!

Hugs to you all, have a lovely Saturday!

Morning all.........(((((((((((((((HUGS))))))))))))) if you need one.....

A slightly dullish morning, its forecast to get better as the day goes on. We had a slight lie in this morning 15 minutes....... but better than nothing....

No real plans for today, I might just tackle moving round the sewing room ready for the cabinet for the sewing machines. OH is dressed for the garden, so guess he will be going out shortly. I have not been lightling the fire until after lunch this week, checked this morning and its still in from last night, a bit of knidliing later will set it off again.

Liver and bacon for supper tonight, I have taken a chicken out for tomorrow, 3 meals plus soup for under £4, not bad.

Hester; glad that minder has been paid, whats happened about the expenses?? has he got them too?

I have got a wretched cough, as a child I often had a cough during the winter which would go during summer. I am not sure if this one is not the gunk from my sinus's. Where we used to live was very bad for sinus problems, bronchitis etc, the air is so much clearer here, you can 'taste' the difference if you know what I mean.

I missed a call from Sky yesterday, I forgot to take the mobile into the sitting room at lunchtime. Bingo a missed call.......whoever phoned did not get back to me either, I walked about with the phone all afternoon, of course it was Friday so guess it was a case of poets day!!!

Time to go.....have a good day.
    Was 13st 8 lbs,Now 12st 11 Lost 10 1/4lbs since I started on my diet.

    Hi all
Hubby filled in his bank details on the first day in his new job, passed them to his line manager who promptly forgot about them for a week, by the time they were passed to the wages department they'd missed the deadline for getting on the wage run. They finally raised a cheque for him, he's also had an email confirming that his expenses float will be in by next Wed/Thur.

    Morning all.

Dull and raining here this morning and we had an early start as DD had to be at the doctors at 9am for her HPV vaccination, luckily OH is back driving so he was able to give us a lift to save us getting soaked. OH is doing really well, pretty much back to normal, it's hard to believe that he was so ill and we came close to losing him just a few weeks ago.

OH and DD have just had bacon buttys, not too sure what we're having for lunch & dinner. I did a gammon joint in the slow cooker yesterday and sliced it last night so we may have that for dinner with some mash & veg, think I might make easy mustard sauce (cream that needs using up with a spoon of wholegrain mustard) to go with it.

I've been fancying some millionaires shortbread for a while and I'm sure there's a tin of condensed milk in the back of the cupboard so I might make some this morning.

Hope the weather is better where you are and hugs to all who need them. x

    Morning all,

Hugs to anyone feeling sad or poorly.
NPM - hope the migraines have eased off now.I have had your wedding songs in my head all week :),& smiling at the thought of DS being a DJ.
Julie - sorry to hear of your daughters split,we have also got DS1 back after 10 years of living together,he is still very sad and its so hard as parents to watch it.We are thankful there were no children,as that must make it even worse.
Lame Wolf - sorry you have been so upset.Furry friends can really steal your heart, can't they?

Not much planned for today, other than meeting our friends tonight and watching their sons band. This is the last gig for them as one of the lads is leaving to go abroad for a while,so it may feel a bit sad as we have been watching them for the last 5 years - really boosted our social life and took us to places we would never have gone otherwise, but life moves on and we'll find something else to do.

I got a meal deal from Sainsbugs yesterday,so that will be quick tonight. They didnt have any red wine with it,so got a white which we can put towards a friend birthday next week.Got a reduced chicken which we had last night,so soupmaking to follow shortly. They had 20% off the Kenwood Minichopper,so got one of those, sometimes cant be bothered to get the big one out if I just want a few breadcrumbs doing.Better get the bm on and the washer going.Havea good day everyone.x
