seeing as it was a Tuesday, i tried for a till-spit. but to no avail.

did manage to get doubles points which OH denied, till i pointed out on the receipt (he introduced me to MSE, and feels it was a small -but growing- error)...i dont. except maybe i'm a little obsessed with Tesco at the mo.

anyways....managed to find a unclaimed points receipt, which obviously i didn't admit to OH until i got home! lol.
    so....:T to me! :) lol

Double points glitch seems to have ended, nothing doing today.

No till-spit either, think I will try my Mum's underused card later this week, maybe she is due one.

Ooh, that would be a good one to use when buying those Nestle multipacks with vouchers on them! 2 packs @ 98p each = £2 in vouchers, 30 points and all the cereal! ;)

I got a till spit this morning, spend £15 on clothing and get 500 points

This should have been on childrens clothing. Done a this morning and went to the self serve till and said to the lady that it was not accepting the till spit, the lady was very nice and manually added on 500 points for me, I got a jumper and pj's for myself, so wasn't even for childrens clothing. I am thinking of bringing them back as the points were put on a separate receipt.

Has anyone had the same problem I had last week? Normally go to Tesco A, and had some spits from Tesco A, but went to Tesco B. The till would not accept my spit for points off cheese if you spent over whatever and I was asked to take it along to Customer Services. Duly went, knowing that I had spent over the suggested amount, and was advised that it was because the spit was for Tesco A, although they did add the points on that occasion.

Are there any Tesco staff out there who are willing to divulge why some people get these spits and others not, and if the theory of them churning them out on Mondays and Tuesdays is valid? I do sometimes get these things, but I tend to shop on a Thursday or Friday.

They were talking rubbish - till spits are not store-specific. I used to regularly get till spits for points on clothes from a Metro store that don't even sell clothes, so they had to be used in another store!!! ;)

Me too, I have had clothing ones from a non-clothing store. Also, I have often bought some on eBay which have obviously come from another store, and they scan fine. Sometimes I think some CS people will try to tell you anything (particularly with overprices where you are claiming the item free, but also on any subject just to get rid of you...).

BTW there are SOME nice CS staff out there, of course, don't like to tar all 'TescoEmployees' with the same brush! :D

No idea what I do wrong but I have never had a till spit ever. The only vouchers I get are the toddler club ones
