I should get DH to bring some eggs up for you. :)

Pumpkin pie is YUM, and not hard to make, but I think we'll have pecan. Normally we'd do three or four pies when we ''do'' Thanksgiving, but it will just be us, and so you have to choose one really....I adore pumpkin pie though. :)

That's an idea! DH thinks I've gone mad asking for eggs on the internet though.

oooo..pecan pie. i might have to pop to hummingbird bakery tomorrow and see if they have anything seasonal.

There is something like this in a small village in Cornwall, on the A39 Plymouth to Bodmin road..... I'll google the name in a minute.

As you're driving along, most of the houses have scarecrows 'going about their daily business' in people's front gardens, sitting on benches or peering over walls.

Bound to be some pics online -> there are pics of everything online these days.

It seems it's grown.... originally I was speaking of Tideford, but now a place called Week St Mary are at it too:

I don't even know what sociology is... certainly it wasn't on our school syllabus back in the 60s/70s.

Nor mine but I took it at evening classes when eldest was a baby...got a GCSE grade B with no revision whatsoever but then it contained the thing I love most, facts and figures and more importantly, those facts and figures involved numbers!

I did do the first year of an A level in sociology whilst heavily pregnant with second son but they cancelled it after the first year due to falling numbers in the class, unfortunately this was just before AS levels came in.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

It is a small world - I grew up in Hampshire and my first proper GF there by chance grew up in one of those houses in Flamstead before moving to Hants.

You can't appreciate from the photos how big this one is Pastures, it is massive. I don't know of anywhere like it. Imagine a really posh area in a town and every single house being done up. It's a bit of a festival of chavdom round here, maybe where you are is posher :o.

In my photo albums is one dedicated to the scarecrow competition our village had, back in the summer:

I think I've posted these before.

It's bl00dy nippy now .... not sure the caravan plan's really ideal for British weather .... but rents are so high. It seems I'd be handing over all but £100/month to live in a shoebox, which I refuse to do.

    Peeing down outside it is.

If they do both jobs why bother taking them down! :) How long do the lights last after dark fall silvercar? Would love a picture but only if its ''safe'' and doesn't give you away to anyone :)

I never thought of them as Xmas lights; I'd redone the rose arch (its not really an arch but horizontal on top and vertical posts on the side). In fact its now rose free. I promised the kids (son + football mates) that I would remove the roses that kept puncturing the footballs if they did well in their GCSEs. So now its climbing thorn-free plants that weave around the willow lattice. I bought the solar lights on impulse half price and threaded them along the posts visible from the house. The kids kept teasing me that it was Xmas lights in August, so I took them down. At which point they said they really did like them and they served a purpose in lighting the way from the house to the summer house at night, so I put them back up.

Difference in Winter is that they only stay alight for a couple of hours, in Summer they would last 5 hours +.

I'm sure its safe to take a picture, you'd have to be on a helicopter to identify the back garden. Though I do wonder if posting one picture on here gives access to my whole photobucket album.

Yes, that's what I was showing someone else on another forum last night. :D

You can choose whether to make Photobucket albums private or public. Mine are public because there's nothing in them I mind others seeing. If I were doing a Blog, it would be much the same. I just find albums easier ATM.
