Pastures, have heard about the flooding in your neck of the woods. Just wanted to check in and make sure you are ok, and tucked up indoors and warm. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Most moles are not cancerous, any doubts, please check next time you visit your GP.

Any body know Newcastle well? I have to stay there for a day or two sometime soon and am trying to find a really nice hotel. Why a really nice one? Because what I'll be doing through the day is not so fun so good do with something to lift my spirits afterwards and its only one night I think, so could splash out. what I find quite frustrating is one of them that seems highly rated and looks ''ok'' has lumpy at the ends unevenly made beds in the photos. Now, while they are not so mad I'd mind if I walked in to a hotel room with those beds I do kind of worry that its the limit of attention to detail they paid for their marketing photos...it makes me wonder what won't be right/worried about for a normal night..if its meant to be luxurious then it should BE luxurious, right?0

I've got three books at the moment, I started the first one, then the second one came in to the library for me but with a string of reservations so have had to put the first on hold so I can read it in the loan period. The third will be read second as that too has lots of reservations on, but haven't picked it up yet. As you will see, I'm on a bit of a theme:

Planning your holidays?:D
Atonement has been read Viva. Have to say, in the reading, I did find it a little pedestrian, though there were a couple of interesting swerves (as opposed to twists) towards the end. It wasn't bad, & was well written. I think there were certain sections which could have been expanded on.
When I finished it, the Derren Brown book was almost instinctively picked up. I'm actually suprised by how quickly I got through it, but it was really enjoyable. Essentially it is an autobiography based around a magic trick. Pleasant & in many ways uplifting reading. Highly recommended.
I'm struggling a little on choosing what to read next. I did pick a book, but read 3 pages (didn't get gripped, & felt I put it down a little too easily when persuaded to go to toys r us for a little christmas shopping/inspiration). When I got back I picked up a book I read about a year ago:
Given I recently went to London, I fancied reviewing some of the places I wandered around. It is a relatively short book, as a lot of it is photo's, but I read half of it. I have gradually (with my birthday etc) built up a small collection of unread jack the ripper books, but have had a bit of a break from them most of this year. The bug will get me soon again, but I'd kinda like to wait until after christmas if possible, & I have so many othe rinteresting books to read too.
Which confuses me a little as to why I'm struggling to pick the next one. It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

It was worst around St Austell. Pastures isn't in that area, AFAIK.

Thanks looking at that now. The only one on splendia is mixed reviews, but none seem particularly ''must go there''.
I don't know Newcastle AT ALL never been, but I have to do something in the area of the Durham Rd but I'm also hoping to visit a friend while there outside the city so will probably hire a car.. so not fussed to say near where the stuff is taking place, but near somewhere good to eat and where I could look around the centre on foot. Or somewhere outside Newcastle that has a spa....:)0
