For grass mud horse see here (if it doesn't disappear behind the paywall) or here.
For two fingers needed to draw a long bow, see here.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -
I want to get a guitar (or two) for my daughters 6 and 4 to learn on (or play with anyway). Given they may never get in to it I don't want to spend too much but then again I don't want them to be put off by something that through being cheap is needlessly difficult to play or impossible to make sound good. I have read some comments that electric might be easier to play but others say learn on an acoustic. Electric to me has the advantage of taking headphones...Then there is sizes - seem to be either half or three quarters size.
Can anyone advise?
Anyone have any advice for renovating violins?
I have inherited two in their moth eaten cases and I know nothing about violins.
They would have been made about 130 years ago and may have some "merit" - if you squint to look into the inside of one of them you will know it has been made by a master craftsman. He has left his label inside.
It says something about "Stradivarius faked it":rotfl:0 -

Do you live near a music school/college? A GOOD violin teacher would probably be interested to see them and advise someone good to help. If there is a chance one has ''value'' don't let just anyone renovate!0 -
Grass Mud Horse reminds me of that Not the 9 O'Clock News song: Kinda Lingers.

It won't surprise you to know that I didn't want Vettel to win. However to be fair, he deserved it. I couldn't believe his joy at the end, but it was sometime after that it became clear that he didn't know until his team told him that Alonso was far behind and couldn't still become champion.
Ferrari's tactics lost it for Alonso, I'm sorry to say. Whoever won, it was a great season. Here's hoping for more of the same (except perhaps a different outcome;)) next year. Kers back should apparently favour Jenson and Lewis then. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? have an interview to go to and for the life of me, can't find a smart wool dress that doesn't cost an arm and a leg.0

Hmmm.... Wool dresses throws up some very expensive (and very nice) results. Knitted dresses come in much cheaper:

Will any of them do? The one from Kaliko that is out of stock in a 10, and the two that are second and third from the bottom are probably the smartest. There are lots more to choose from, but I tried to work to a budget of less than £40.Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Thanks both
I'd rather buy natural materials so shopping is always fraught. I don't want to splash out on something too smart in case it'll never get worn again0
