    I've been Money Tipped!
I had a weird thing before I dropped out of cyberspace...I got a virus that the IT guy said was probably from this sort of thing. It was pretty easy to spot though and gave it to someone else to sort out. It was around the time I was dropping ou of here so didn't really think about it much. No MSE password probs or anything like that.

Someone hacked my hotmail once though.

But my log-in wouldn't work - unless that just means it was locked permanently? After this morning.

But it says just for 15 mins.

Most forums use the same software, vbulletin i think, its normally 5 and your out for 15 mins with an email message to inform.

Is not related. You can get viruses from web sites, but I am pretty good at running a tight ship, and I would have noticed if MSE had any resident viruses.

So has anyone else had any probs, or has it just been me and essotwo?

Could it be connected to mse's other recent glitches?

Still have to log in each time - it doesn't remember me.

Off thing was that earlier, I was logged in during the day while I was out. Didn't log me out. But when I logged out, this afternoon, I couldn't log back in - it didn't recognise my pasword.

Is it possible for someone else to log in as you when you're already logged in, and change the password without logging you out?

    Head frying.

Thank you tomterm. :) It didn't put me off, as you can see.

I opened my new business account today. There is so much wretched paper work ATM....I get so bored of it :o I really need to sort it out though. It feels terribly ''big'' to send out an invoice. :o:o Let alone offer paperless billing. :D I'm even thinking about a little website..but cannot afford it yet.:o

Yes it is. You can be logged in from two places at once.

OK, now I am interested in what business LiR is setting up. Nosy parker ;)

I agree with silvercar, yeah, I think it is possible. If I were you CarolT, I would change your MSE password. If you have an online email (hotmail etc), I would also change the password on that - making sure it is secure - since if they have access to your MSE account, they might have found out your email address too, and might try to hack that.

Whoever it is, is an amateur, because if it was a sophisticated attack they wouldn't have triggered the five incorrect attempts.

Didn't know you were starting a business.

Websites don't have to cost you anything if you just want a simple presence online. Not ideal, of course, but a good free one's better than nothing.

Well, my view is you probably should pay a little; if you go to someone like hostgator or godaddy, you can get a decent web package for a few pounds a month, which provides wordpress as standard... register a cheap domain, and use a free theme, and you can have quite a good website up for less than £25 a year.

PN...come on, you have been talking to me for how long...you know I can't do it. ;)

In fact, I don't need it..yet, for advertising, not ready for that, but will need it to be somewhat..interactive when ready. I reckon I can doodle along for a couple of years yet.

Tomterm, nothing too exciting to anyone but me. :o
